My daughters mother doesn't have an issue with high schoolers dating older men, but "within reason" though she won't explain what that means. Her take is if our 16 year old daughter wanted to date a 26 year old man, we could lose her if we forbid it, like how those R Kelly chicks stopped communicating with their families for years...

So she says we should find productive ways to allow that kind of relationship...

For the record I think this is the same with women, works if the shoe is reversed to me...

your baby mama is dumb, no offense. you should get custody. a parent should guide their kid in the right direction, not enable their poor choices.

there is no productive way for a teenager to date a 26 year old man. i'm not even sure how a 26 year old would have access to your kid for a romantic relationship to even start. at 16, my friends were 15-17.

my only guess is that by 16 she was doing stuff like that, and she plans to pass along her poor decisions to your daughter.

I feel this way too....

The coparenting is gonna be difficult, I suspect she'll grow outta this mindset the older she gets and sees our children getting older. We're always talking about compromising and coparenting responsibly, our ideas on what's best for the girls differ in spots. Because she's always like "nothing would be worse than losing my daughters and not hearing from them for years because I couldn't compromise with them"...

My response has always been I don't want to lose them either, but I'm not okay with my high schooler dating 20-somethings. Then I get the speech about how at that age the girls are gonna do what they wanna do anyway...

So you didn't date older guys in high school? How did feel back then if you knew girls who did? What do you think about older men dating women half their age now?

These were my guidelines and the way I moved, comin up (with reasoning)...

First and foremost...I always had a thing against older nggas messin w/ younger females comin up. I remember hangin at the park as a teen (where everyone congregated) to hoop, fight, or pop shyt. Females hangin at the park crazy too, cuz that's where all the dudes were at. This is where...I first started seein older nggas (grown ass men) hollerin at our young (impressionable) counterparts...

My immediate thought...."This ngga must be a lame...and can't pull bytches his own age..."

I'm 14/15...already imagining, how I can't wait to knock down big titty...big booty older bytches...

That always stuck w/ me. I was always a little taller...w/ some facial hair, early...so I was always baggin females, somewhat older than me, or around my age. The only gray area I saw...was around age 18....

Personally...I dealt w/ a couple females that were 17 (a year younger than me). Might've spoke to one or two around the age of 16...but never hit. We might refer to now, as "grooming" at the time.

Everything else was older tho...and those were the ones, I was infatuated with pipin.

Nonetheless...I would've been considered an adult at 18, where I'm at. I'm certain...I knew dudes talkin to females as young as 15-16 at that age...with "no fux given" about hittin a 16 yr old...

So its ok for older women to fukk younger men but not ok for older men to fukk younger women

I haven't combed through this thread but to me it's just like a natural thing, like how any normal person isn't sexually attracted to a animal or baby. 18 is the youngest I could have ever went, even if legally you can younger in other places A undeveloped body/mind/face isn't something I want to be with sexually or mentally.

Girls were and will always be into older guys. If u said anything at the time u were called a hater

For some guys w/o game or options, they don't see it like that. A woman their age isn't checking for them so it's not like there's this abundance of grown women waiting for em.

But there's younger girls who follow the same makeup and fashion and their bodies developed early which obviously makes these guys think he finally got one.
