I really like the Obsidian 900D, I think I'm gonna stick with that.

Man that's wild...10% of your budget on a case.

Whatever works for you though.

I mean with 3K its even tough to recommend parts...you pretty much can buy whatever you want. However, I would probably suggest a tonymacx86 compatible gigabyte motherboard in case you ever want to take the hackintosh route...you will have a complete PC from any single angle you look at it. Do you want a blu-ray burner?

finally got a new pc...didnt build it tho...used my discount on a dell xps 8700. Got the intel i7 4770 with the gtx635 (nothing major...left the option to upgrade to a gtx 760 later)...this pc was for music first and gaming 2nd so i have what i need.

Got a 256 ssd that i iinstalled along with 2-1 terabyte harddrives....8gig ddr3...etc etc. Loving it so far...the graphics card is not bad for now but the speed of this joint is

spent a little over 680...sold some of my old pc parts for the ssd to throw in it.

This is the best motherboard you can get if you also want to throw Mac OS X on your rig for whatever.

I'm very close to both microcenter and frys. I'm probably gonna buy at frys cuz of the great price matching.

You'll love the 900D. It's probably the last case I buy for a long time unless Corsair outdo themselves again. My previous case, the 800D lasted me throughout several builds.

I can't wait till I go back to NY. I am building a PC for someone and the AMD processor I am looking at is literally half price compared to newegg/tiger direct

I made the purchases and made Frys help me build it for me for $50 (). That Obsidian 900D is a pain in the ass to work with, but does it look pretty

Pics to come soon. Great cable management too shyt took 5 hours to build, with me and 2 other guys building that shyt.

I went with 1200w PSU, and 2 ASUS 780 DirectCU II OCs. I can't wait to test it out tomorrow (I still gotta transfer over my other hard drives and I'm tired as shyt right now)

Pic still incoming. I'm having some windows 8.1 problems that are fukking my shyt up. My computer benchmarks fast as fukk on 1 monitor, but slows down to barely above 690 levels when I plug in all 3 monitors (but still only benchmark on one monitor). I dunno about windows 8.1 and nvidia surround. I'm kinda pissed. More tests to come, but so far, fukk Microsoft and shytty 8.1

Yeah, I'm real disappointed in 8.1 right now. I wanted it for the new direct x, but it's fukking too much shyt up (I think). I might have to go back to win 7 if I can't figure out shyt out
