I keep mine on 1500, even though it goes up to 4000. at some point it gets kind of crazy

Jackfrags (youtuber) said he plays at like 300 dpi with a huge mousepad :heh: (dude is pretty damn good at shooters though)

300?..:heh:

I guess I also like the high dpi cuz of the 3 monitors (my mouse is at 5700 dpi; G9x). I don't have to move my whole arm to go from the left screen to the right when using the computer for every day use.

I used to keep my dpi real low, I could never understand why people had it so high. Then I just taught myself, and I see the difference. If you have good aim, you're merking other players faster than they can even comprehend :heh:

The Steam In-Home Streaming shyt is the truth. I was eventually going to purchase a new case for my HTPC and shove the spare 660 I have in it but not anymore. The quality and responsiveness was surprisingly better than I expected. Not sure how it performs over wireless since I got the crib wired with Cat6. Either way thank you based Gabe.

it's a trade off. the lower dpi is better for more 'precise' movement, but slower for aiming. my mouse (g400s) has a 'shift' button that I assigned to 600 dpi that I use sometimes for sniping. but that's for games like arma, where I need a calculator to estimate bullet drop

Yeah, my old R.A.T. had one of those. I liked it a lot. I kinda miss that (it was really good for sniping). The R.A.T. build quality though (especially for the price) :scusthov: (I had fukking 2 break on me....:stopitslime:)

yep, I was surprised how good it worked. I just don't have a use for it at the moment. I had my host and client in the same room, and realized I could use my host's mouse with WASD on the client :heh:

I guess I'm glad that I got the beta invite this late into the game as it feels pretty polished already. I'm assuming that it can only get better from here.

Yeah and throw that DPI up as high as possible. You won't be able to use your mouse very well for a few days, but once you get used to the quickness....:banderas:
My mouse settings are not adjustable. I only can alter the general windows settings. On the manufacturer site it shows my mouse as having 1000 dpi max.
edit:Spoke too soon.

late? this is the first wave of beta invites (you might be thinking of 'family sharing')

anyone that's interested should join the group btw

Every steam link I seem to go to is in German. wtf?
edit:NVM fixed it.

I just joined the group, I thought I was in but I must be mistaking it for the family share beta. RIght now I have not much use for this feature as I only use my computer in my room and other computers in the house are for other people.

lol, I actually just fixed that problem for myself today. if you log into your Steam account on the browser, and switch your language to english, it should fix it (even when you're not signed in). idk why it defaults to german though

What's your dpi at now? If you're maxed out at 1000, I'd recommend getting a new "gaming" mouse. Logitech's are good. You can get good deals at Fry's with their online price-matching and everything
