:banderas:what a fantastic case. Was a breeze to build in. Regular atx cases with the psu below the motherboard is just not the move anymore. Theres so much room behind the motherboard. Cable management really aint that big of a deal as you can see in the pics above. It is a slightly smaller but chonky mid size, but it utilizes the space so efficiently. Didn't really care for the other 011 cases, but this one is a must if you're strictly doing air cooling. Soecs below:

Cpu - i7 12700f
Motherboard: asus b660m-plus tuf
Cpu cooler: scythe fuma 2 rev. B
Ram: teamforce dark z fps 4000mhz cl16 16gb
Gpu: none for now - used my 6900xt to get it up and running as the cpu has no integrated graphics. Will cop an nvidia rtx 3080 eventually for my niece as i still have 2 more months.
Power supply: corsair rmx 850w
Storage: boot - 1tb nvme crucial p2. Storage - western digital 3.5 hdd 2tb.
Case fans: 2 intake and 1 rear exhaust are the stock lian li case that comes with the case. 4 noiseblocker eloop 140mm fans - 2 intake from the bottom, 2 exhaust at the top. All fans are hooked up to a swiftech pwm fan hub in the back.

Highly recommend this case!

question:

If I update my i7 motherboard for an i9, I will lose everything in my C/E drives, correct?

Motherboard? Do you mean cpu? If you swap out cpus, you should be fine. If you switch motherboards, then you gotta backup everything, create a system image and do a fresh windows install.

Ahh no u dont. Everything that is in your C and E drives will still be there if ur swappjng out your motherboard.

Only thing u gotta do with a new motherboard is install the software that comes with it. U dont need to do a fresh windows install....

I stand corrected. I was thinking about the windows os key which are tied to motherboards but apparently that is in the past and doesn't have that problem anymore.

I think you do have to do something to transfer the Windows license, since it will consider a new mobo a new computer

yeah, i'm using it for both my laptop and desktop now. tried it on the laptop for about a month before doing it on the desktop. I don't see any major issues with it. then again i'm not a gamer.
That Direct Storage feature got me tempted to pull the trigger but im still iffy on 11 for now. :hamster:
