5950X and now an 3090? You doing it big

I just lucked into an EVGA 3090 . How good was my luck? I had enough time to register for a Newegg account, enter all my details, and still get through with literally no hassle. I still want that Gigabyte Vision 3090 because it looks better but shyt...

There’s no luck needed, people have come back to their senses. Us 3090 owners are a waiting L once the 3080ti comes out. We are paying minimal of 600+ more than we should because we don’t have patience.
Try picking up a 3080 doing all of that. It’s really going to hurt when the 3080ti performance is the same as the 3090.

Maybe a backup device? Or a tv computer? It’s a laptop so it’s limiting.

yeah ive been seeing that. I don't watch that much tv. Maybe it'll be just backup. I've googled permutations of this same question and everyone basically says NAS, Plex-type thing, or backup.

I got a lenovo legion laptop some time ago to use on my hi-fi system (as a dedicated audio source/library). I like to work and play on my main rig while listening to music


As @MMA said, you can easily turn it into an entertainment computer.

Give us a review on the 5950x when you can (Temps - idle and gaming, cooling solution, game usage) etc. How much ram and if there's any ram speed errors too.
