Get you a couple of zip ties, you'll be aight. Airflow is no issue.
Just looked now that I'm back home and should have enough space since I removed a hardware bay a while back. Case has 3 that load in the front, got a disc reader in the bottom one and top 2 empty, then had another 3 bay compartment right under it. But I got an SSD on the back and an external hard drive so I wasn't using that and removed it for airflow. Now as far as if the pcie slot is gonna have to be bigger is another story. But thats a motherboard issue. Are all pcie slots the same size per mobo? I know theres the large slot and smaller ones but I can't imagine there isn't a universal size for each specific slot. First thing I want to upgrade is my cpu. But gotta see if my mobo will be compatible. I know Intel should be releasing some new chips soon, looks like Rocket Lake is the name, but not sure if I'll have to update the mobo, hopefully not.

Between this, a new monitor, and another all SSD build...my new build going to be pushing 10k :picard:

Guess my son college fund will have to start a year late though :hubie:

How old is your son? Invest some money for him if he's young so it can grow by the time he gets to college.

Brehs,

Just upgraded to a bigger SSD, so I'm seeing if anyone here wants to cop my old Samsung 950 Pro 512 before I throw it on Ebay and the tech forums. Just for Coli brehs, I'll do 75 shipped anywhere in the continental US.

Drive is in great condition. Below is the SMART report and Samsung Magician report I did right before installing the new one. Zero errors ever. Original box and materials.

I would trade for or towards a 2.5" SSD at least 1TB

850w PSU recommended for the 3090 :damn:

NVIDIA's new GeForce RTX 3090 will require a huge 850W power supply

NVIDIA's new GeForce RTX 30 series graphics cards will be unveiled on September 1, with the introduction (and requirement on RTX 30 series Founders Edition cards) of a new 12-pin PCIe power adapter.

In a recent finding on Bilibili, the new 12-pin PCIe power connector was spotted -- this time, from Seasonic. But as you can see on the box, the adapter turns 2 x existing 8-pin PCIe power connectors into a single 12-pin PCIe power connector.

Seasonic is recommending that you have an 850W power supply or higher, to use this new 12-pin PCIe power connector. That's pretty crazy, as a GeForce RTX 2080 Ti only "requires" a 650W PSU.

Note: just because you've got an 850W PSU that doesn't mean the RTX 3090 uses 850W, but it's definitely going to use 100W+ more than the RTX 2080 Ti if this PSU recommendation is anything to go by. That's an additional 200W of headroom for any card powered by the 12-pin PCIe power adapter.

GeForce RTX 3090: $1399
GeForce RTX 3080: $799
GeForce RTX 3070: $599
GeForce RTX 3060: $399

Decided to return my QL fans and go with the Uni Fans SL 120, because the RGB was too gawdy in my 011 dynamic
