I need help brehs. Wanna build a gaming PC with around a $800 budget. Any recommendations?

graphics: 2060 rtx ($250 at best buy)
Processor: ryzen 2600x ($150 ebay)
Cases you can find around $50
16gb ddr4 ram around $80
ASUS B450m motherboard - $80 (newegg)
Power supply - $60-80 bronze certified

total: $670

id recommend a new heat sink for another $40-50

im assuming you have hard drives, keyboard, mouse, monitor

that above will run most games maxed out at 1080p 60+ fps

I got a HP Z420 four years ago, stuck a 1060, SSD and some ram in it and it has been running great. Usually have 50+ tabs open in chrome and opera at the same time, running a Plex server and sometimes have a game open.

But the sandy bridge Xeon is struggling with streaming 4k movies, so unfortunately it might be time to upgrade soon :francis:

I'll wait until the end of the year for Zen 3 so the build will probably cost me more than $1500 plus a new monitor :francis:
And it's been a lifetime since I built a PC :flabbynsick: so I'll have no clue what I'm doing.

All that just to buy more games during Steam sales which I'll never even install :francis:

I have a very simple setup, just one 6TB hard drive where I have all my media libraries.

Plex website had a pretty good guide on how to set it up. And this video starting at 5:00 is pretty much what I'm doing.

Download the client, select the drive you'll be using, select/label the folders properly and you're set.

3080 with 1 fan on the top and one on the bottom? :jbhmm:

I hope that doesn't affect water cooling options :patrice:

Reference Cards are better for water cooling though

A lot of 3rd party variants use custom PCBs where waterblocks are made with the reference design in mind.

looks good. two 1tb nvme drives :whew:

where you get that free memory? :leon:

that PSU is way overpriced though. you can see the list price is around $130, so that's gotta be some crazy reseller price. idk if there's a PSU shortage or some shyt (corona related?), but I see they're sold out at most spots, or ridiculously priced. I'd wait for a better price
