So, my dvd drive keeps ejecting, but there is no disc in the drive. It just makes the eject noise every so often. :patrice:

I guess I could unplug it, but that seems like a waste.

Any suggestions as to what could be causing this?

Get a warranty on the drive or buy another one. Or
Just buy an external dvd drive, they usually break and there isn't a real solution to fixing it, not worth the effort when external cost 20-40 dollars.

Well, it's actually part of my damn case (I have an Alienware Area 51 prebuild). I never use optical discs anymore, and haven't in quiet a long time. I can't just replace it easily. I guess it's time to call dell. Unplugging it seems like the easier solution here though. I dunno, I don't want to lose it, but, if I'm being honest, I'll never use it. I dunno :patrice:

@itsyoung!!

This is a bit over your budget, but it includes a 1080ti, and, the CPU and GPU are liquid cooled. Plus it's very small, so it's portable. It might be overkill, but you might want to look at it

The cyberpower was also liquid cooled. That computer is $600 more for a ti version of 1080 basically

I gave in to God of War hype and bought a ps4 pro also with monster hunter and the last of us (recommend any other games excluded from PC, I'll surf the ps4 thread too). Sony and even Microsoft letting us PC gamers miss out on great releases with long periods or no access at all.

It's crazy how I'll drop 500 to 1K each time to upgrade some portion of my gaming rigs but console gaming is so cheap now

:dead:

PC building simulator kinda sucks though...No intel or Nvidia parts that I can see. :francis:
hey now, Intel has been doing the shadiest shyt for the longest and don't even get me started with Nvidia, apple will never do business with them again when they owe apple over a billion dollars because of the recall issue. Let AMD struggling with GPP, do their thing

Also here are some facts about Nvidia GTX 1180

Source: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1180 - Specs, Performance, Price & Release Date (Preliminary)

Launch in July, based - named Turing
8gb to 16gb GDDR6
performance better than a Titan XP
Price $699

:whew:
What will the next 1180 Ti or Titan do

We might actually get cards that can handle 4K 144hz in SLI
