Like I said, you can either play 4K at 60fps or 1440p at 100+ fps (it's the same amount of GPU power and CPU power). I chose to play at 4K. @duckbutta is with me

Yeah...that Acer Predator got me

4k 60hz g sync... i can't fukk with anything else...

Easily one of the best monitors every made...Acer getting ALL my monitor money going forward until they fukk up once and I am probably going to give them a mulligan for it...

I've been testing all my games in 4k and strangely enough Dead Space is one of the best looking games

EA so far ahead of their time with that game...playing it really just reminded me how they fukked up the franchise

Well, when it comes out. U have the hardware, it's mind boggling to be stuck at 60hz with the horsepower you're rocking. I literally want to play every single game at 165hz only. The 4K res is nice but this G sync/165hz jump is much much more noticeable imo.

Yeah, I'll probably sell this 32" Predator when the 4K/144hz/G-sync/HDR (that's key,...HDR is awesome on the consoles with my 4K OLED) monitor comes out. Hopefully sometime next year

Hope you have a GPU that can take advantage of it though. Unless you’re just future-proofing for now.

I have a GTX 1070.

Surprisingly it holds up well in 1440P even for this monitor at that refresh rate(165hz).

I tried Destiny 2 and on medium/high settings I can get anywhere from 90fps in demanding areas to like 150fps in more closed in areas. It really doesn't matter as the G-Sync keeps things smooth as fukk. I just did a crucible match and that shyt was on average 120fps.

The Witcher 3 on medium settings at 1440P could hit up to 100fps.




Literally the only games I've been disappointed in.. are the games with 60fps locks. Now I know what those elite snobz on various forums were bytching about when I seen them complaining

This G-Sync/165hz monitor is much more impressive to me than going from 1080P to 4K/HDR.

I'll have to keep some eye drops on the side when I boot up a 30fps game but I'm keeping my gaming to my PC the majority of the time from now on. My 4K TV will be mainly for watching videos/consoles.

Is building for music production and djing the same as building for gaming in regards to the mb, cpu, etc? Obviously dont need any fancy visuals but what about the rest?

A 1070 with Witcher 3 should easily hit 100 with the game maxed out if u dail back hairworks/gameworks. shyt even with hairworks u should be hovering about 70 FPS at 1440p. Which is still great imo. nikkas tryna compare the X wit a 1070 is smokin crack. Lol

Music production/engineering isn’t as demanding powerwise unless you are recording at 192khz and it still would depend on the plug-ins other plugs arent as intense as other plugs.

I was all worried about having to purchase new furniture to place my new monitor and I just simply moved stuff around and used this tray I had for KB/M while on the TV as a desk for the monitor now.

Did u switch the settings for the monitor?

Yup. I turned on the 165hz overclock, calibrated the color/brightness and left the fast response time on normal since I heard it produces ghosting. Everything looks straight here.
