It's the reason to overclock your CPU/GPU. But here you are.

I got it for the lanes. Pascal GPUs like to go 16X16 gen3 (unlike previous generations that were fine with 8X8). If you look at Intel's CPUs, the cheapest one with enough lanes is the i9 7900X

That MSI is pretty cool. I need some more specifics with the specs though. It's VR ready, so probably a 1060. I worry about cooling with small designs, but apparently it has some good cooling technology. I'd want to see it in person first though
I do. I opened up CPU-Z and it also said I had 12 cores. Somehow AC:Origins unlocked 2 extra cores in my CPU
Go to pcpartpicker.com and go to system builds and type in that case and see what others have done with it and see if it will be a good fit for you. I figured it would be expensive and a little bit of a headache to build in due to storage concerns but I read a few success stories on there
I literally have my 4K TV next to this monitor and after like 20 minutes or so I turn to the left to move a window and I had to check to make sure the refresh rate wasn't set to 30hz.

Nah, the 4K IPS 144hz G-sync monitor somebody was talking about before isn't out yet. If it was, I would have gotten it (if it wasn't too outrageously expensive). I needed a new monitor, and I didn't feel like waiting around

Even 80fps is buttery smooth and 165hz is just crazy smooth. Like I tried out a few games and even putting graphical details down doesn't seem to even matter. It's like indescribable.
Well, when it comes out. U have the hardware, it's mind boggling to be stuck at 60hz with the horsepower you're rocking. I literally want to play every single game at 165hz only.
