He's probably getting artifacts. I suggest he tries the program "evga precision x" or "fur mark." Both those programs can definitively find out if he's artifacting or not. The problem is, those programs can be dangerous and card killing if he doesn't know what he's doing. Still, it's worth it in my opinion.@The War Report not talking about screen tearing or anything weird like that right?
Have you tried a different PCIe slot? Have you tried doing a fresh clean install of the nvidia drivers? Do you have a freesync monitor with it enabled by any chance?

shyt has a 20 fps gain in some games fam. And it's a 6gb card so he's gonna be way better off.Isn't a 1060 about 10-15% faster than a 970?
