This is one of the problems of PC gaming. If you wait, you'll definitely get a better card for the same price. Last I heard was early 2018 for nvidia. But that can be said for all times. Might as well enjoy your 1080ti for the rest of the year and then worry about upgrading next year. You'll never have the latest tech for too long; pc gaming moves too fast
Yeah I feel you. I'm definitely gonna stick with the 1080ti for a long time. I'm just wondering if it's going to drop in price within the next month. I can buy it now for 690 or wait a few weeks and see if it goes down some. But I'm guessing things like this don't drop much in price? I shouldn't expect it to go down to like $600 bucks randomly right? How often do these computer parts get drops in price? Every few months or so?

I need to buy it before August so I can take advantage of my credit card promotion. I'd rather pay 650 instead of 690 but if it won't go that low for a while, I might as well buy it instead of waiting a few weeks.

No, don't expect price drops in the near future. Maybe 6 months out, you could get a deal, but by that time the new generation of cards will be coming out in the following months.

Just the spend the $690 and enjoy having the best of the best for consumer cards.

I cleaned my shyt again (I just did it two months ago, but no thoroughly), and took apart everything and put it back. Now my idle cpu temp is 10C cooler. :wow:

Clean your shyt properly brehs. That last month clean wasn't good enough. I guess the moral is that you need to handle your shyt and clean it, or

I have a bit of a problem with that.

I "cleaned" out a Mac mini several years ago because of some dust I could not get to. It was a pain in the ass.

Apparently those fukkbois geniuses over at Take-two shutdown single-player mods for GTAV thinking that will stop ONLINE cheating and lead to more shark card sales...:beli:

No point whatsoever in owning GTA on PC now...

But that's what his Core 2 Duo setup takes
?
I don't have a DDR4 compatible motherboard. The Z97 PC Mate I bought in 2014 still is running fine. I'm using a I5 4690K.

There's nothing wrong with the setup. U guys love to propagate this "upgrade every 5 months" thing goodness gracious u snobs give PC gamers a bad look:wow:
