Go to originpc, main gear, falcon nw, etc., and get the most expensive shyt (12-core cpu, 2 Titan Xps, etc). You can bring it up well over $5K with additions

So I was debating between the asus 1080 and 1080ti. Figured I'd go with the 1080ti and pay extra but get the better option to do my build. Right now it's at $690 on Amazon. I get 10% back of Amazon purchases with my amex card but the promotion ends on July 31st. I'm just wondering if I should just pull the trigger now or wait. Do you guys see items like this having frequent price drops or not as often? I'm guessing that unless newer graphic cards get released, there won't be much of a drop in price? Maybe I should wait and see if there's any fourth of July sales or just pay down some of my credit cards so I won't put such a high purchase towards my utilization. I been patient with getting this done but I want to try and get the best deal I can.
This is one of the problems of PC gaming. If you wait, you'll definitely get a better card for the same price. Last I heard was early 2018 for nvidia. But that can be said for all times. Might as well enjoy your 1080ti for the rest of the year and then worry about upgrading next year. You'll never have the latest tech for too long; pc gaming moves too fast
