I got the 1050 ti......mini. Did I fukked up? The real version was too expensive.

Edit: Odd.....the real version on amazon is only 10$ more. Yeah I did fukked up. The one I got is the single fan one....fukking idiot

Edit 2: **rubs forehead** disregard my misinformed post
Yeah nah, you good. I had that same card just up until like a week or two ago. I was able to run BF1 with a mix of high and ultra settings at 1080/60fps. Resident Evil at 60 and Mass Effect Andromeda with mixed settings at 60 as well.

This is my GPU:

Because of its small size I falsely assumed it was a severely handicapped version of the 'real' card. But this card is just as good. I just can't fathom how they're able to put so much power into such a tiny thing. (my shyt has 4GB GDDR5 and it comes overclocked)

Breh you could of got the Zotac GTX 1070 :mjlol:

a headset isn't gonna do that. that would have to be an option built into the game itself. a lot of 3rd party chat programs (teamspeak, ventrilo, mumble, etc) have options to lower the main volume whenever someone says something in chat

most headsets are just gonna have (overall) volume control, and maybe a button/switch to mute the mic

I went with

Ryzen 5 1600
Asrock x370 Killer SLI/ac
Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (only cause it's white)
EVGA GTX 1050 Ti
NZXT S340 Elite White
Windows 10(first legit Windows I'll ever have)

Already have RGBs all over my room/monitor and I'll add more to the case
Damn near the same build I just finished. I went with an XFX 580 and a Phanteks P400s. I didn't go all out because I think I'm going to pass it down to my nephew. I forgot how much I like putting together PCs.

because consoles were designed for a chat-only headset, so the chat is already in a separate channel
:ehh: But...

It is possible, you just would need either,

A) An audio device that has multiple outputs in 3.5mm style

Or

B) Multiple audio devices (ex: onboard audio + internal audio card/external audio device

Or

C) Software such as Virtual Audio Cable

I read that chat audio is distributed differently when using an Xbox controller on PC, that the controller itself handles chat but I don't know about all that :hubie:

it is possible. but for the most part a PC is just gonna have one output for audio, and an input for the mic

and the audio can be adjusted through software

I'm honestly not sure if a headset plugged into the 360/X1 controller works on PC, or if it works the same as on the console
