it's as old as the 3930k :mjcry:
yeah breh, im sorry to break it to u. but i highly recommend u swap out the psu too. look at it this way, u can turn those old part into another pc, or sell it to offset the cost for ur new one.

since u going mainstream with the 7700k, u dont need a 1200w as the new cpu doesnt draw as nearly as much power as the 3930k.

u said u have 2 1070s in sli, u probably only need a 750w. but id recommend a 850w or even a 1000w since its not that more expensive. look into evgas g2 or g3 psus or corsair rmx. best value performance bar none.

None of those are APUs right?

I swear AMD has such a complicated product line with Ryzen, which is odd because their graphics cards so far are a simple low end tier and 2 mid tier cards and is working well for them.

The mainstream CPUs have always had faster single core performance vs HEDT platforms, like the 7700K beating the 6950x but why isn't that publicized
Single core doesn't matter as much anymore. Games are becoming more and more multi-core friendly, reducing the need for a high clock speed on each core

Might be the case but as the 7770K shows, single core performance still matters
The Ryzen processors are still pretty good in per core performance, but AMD as usual fukked up a launch.

The bad thing is that this time it's the launch of a promising line.

The more I've read, I don't think the processors were ready for launch but I think AMD were pressured to release them because of the delays they had already.

The UEFI issues with the motherboards and the sensitive to memory speeds and timings seem to confirm it wasn't ready.

Looking at Ryzen it seems like they'll be alot better for gaming once developers start putting in work on it.

A year from now things are gonna be really interesting especially with AMD beating Intel in productivity benchmarks already :ehh:
