Reference design dropped your temps by how much? I am assuming @2gunsup has similar experiences.

yeah, in sli I get to 84c sometimes on the top GPU. It's rare though.

Normally, I get in the 70s.

i was gonna wait on volta, but im gonna cop that evga ftw 1080ti when it drops. im happy with my 980 ti but that extra 40-45 frames on 1440p is worth the upgrade.

its too bad @Ciggavelli blew $2400 on titan xps only to be inferior to a product damn near half the cost.

I currently have... i3 6100, 1050Ti, Gigabyte b150m motherboard. I do 1080 60fps just fine on most titles, but...

What do you guys think I should look at upgrading first(new cpu, gpu, etc...)?

new cpu asap that i3 wont cut it for a good amount of AAA games
if the video card fits your needs then dont change that,but change the cpu

looks like a fairly balanced system to me.
@1080p60fps, most games could give a shyt about your cpu as long as it has at least 2 cores, 4 threads and high enough single threaded performance. unless you're heavy into strategy games, mmos or multimedia creation... a modern i3 will fare just fine with AAA titles.

.......I buy Titans. It's what I do. A 2 to 3% performance gain isn't anything....Maybe 1 FPS better.....nah, I'm good.

I gotta play at 1080ti levels for months and months before y'all getting it. I'm happy with my purchase. What I am mad at is that I bought the 1080s when they first came out. I have them in my other pc. Honestly a complete mistake. I wasted all that money for only like 4 months of gameplay.

When the new Titans come out. You know I'm getting them.
