This is the first time I've seen Ryse get called a "cinematic" game. I mean, are we calling any game that has great graphics cinematic?? So what's a non cinematic game?? Hotline Miami??
By this line of thinking, pretty much every game coming out this year is cinematic since it features cutscenes of some sort.
Only games I'd classify as cinematic are:
Heavy Rain, Beyond 2 Souls, L.A. Norie and The Order since it's blatantly cinematic with the aspect ratio and presentation.
I wouldn't even consider games like TWD as cinematic.
Uncharted, TLOU, TR, Ryse etc have too much gameplay and regular mechanics to be seen as cinematic. I'd say the aforementioned titles are games that are true to their genre first, with cinematic like quality being second. What's next, Knack being a cinematic game??

The devs themselves said it was cinematic. Y'all's excuses are all over the place. First you were claiming that the order didn't have too many cutscenes. Now you wanna argue that it doesn't have enough gameplay therefore its cinematic.

Having played the game, doesn't feel shallow to me.
Yeah, heavy rain isn't cinematic at all. It's actually a strategy game.
Yup enemies running up to you waiting for a QTE then running back to the same spot and repeating the same shyt over and over again isn't shallow.
The only boss fight in the game being all QTE isn't shallow
