No one wants or needs a camera, Don Mattrick.
That's your opinion. But half of the stuff that differentiates the new consoles from last gen requires a camera. Once people start to see all of the advances a camera ads it will be a must buy.
Hate to break it to you, but the fact that the XBOX One doesn't require a camera to operate anymore means that many Kinects are going on eBay immediately. Most of the others will probably leave it in its box after setting the console up.
I expect a Kinect-Less SKU announced shortly after launch.

No thats not my opinion, thats fact. Most people are not interested in all the extra shyt Microsoft is trying to push. The fact that they were forced to fall back and abandon 90% of it is the proof. Kinnect is and always has been a gimmick whose novelty wears off in about 10 minutes. If Microsoft offered a Kinnect-free version for the same price as the PS4, no one would buy the current version. Fact.
That's exactly why they won't announce a Kinect-Free xbox one before launch. They have too much invested in this for it to end up sitting in a warehouse collecting dust.
What an abysmal display by Microsoft. This whole XBOX One fiasco should be taught in Business 101 across the globe after the ass-kicking they will receive this holiday season.
Instant sign ins. Automatic controller switching, facial recognition, voice control, ectlike what?
This is nonsense. 30 million people went out and spent money on the last one. No one is gonna unhook and hide the camera after they pay for it. Once again, the OS features alone will make people want a camera. When you go over to a friends house and see him navigating the menu's a lot quicker and more efficiently then you are at home, your gonna wish you had a camera too.

As much as you say you don't like it plenty of people do. People like new cool shyt. Kinect 2.0 is new cool shyt. Kinect will sell more Xbox consoles than gddr5 will sell ps4s
there is always an aftermarket. Same people who bought Wii u consoles without a controller
the only way I'll look for a Kinect is if there is a great game that requires it.
