My build cam out to about 680$. Upgrading all the time isn't truly necessary unless you really need to be at 1080p 60+ FPS gpu intensive game that comes out in the next years. I'll probably do a couple more upgrade in a few months to get the final product. I feel like my GTX 760 can play games on at least very-high graphics on 1080p if not ultra.
