Was interesting. Random thoughts but its how my brain works: Seems like a lot of work to keep that park up. You got cats shooting the joint up on the regular, dudes wildin and probably breaking stuff and all that yet the whole place gotta look brand new what every morning? Every week? Plus you gotta make sure all the bodies and all that get cleaned up.

Same problem I've got, it just seems far too complicated and expensive to run and just has me thinking why not just make the whole thing VR like The Matrix?.

Right. What's better, interacting with robots/droids or experiencing it in VR like Total Recall?

I'm still thinking it could be VR but I'm just not sure as they appear to be able to take stuff out of westworld and bring it into their corporate offices. Hopefully we get some more answers next episode

I doubt you'll get those answers because most of your questions simply require suspension of disbelief as this is a piece of fiction. To speak with the immortal words of Grant Morrison (someone on the Coli actually has it as its sig):

it's not VR

on the Discover Westworld site they keep mentioning a process called "decompression" when leaving Westworld...so i assume that guests enter the facility and are somehow shrunk down or warped into the park...same thing with all the hosts, animals, etc

if it was VR how would people die from most of those causes, like allergic reactions to plants?

Very interesting. It must be a physical place then.

Nah there would be no actual need for physical androids if it was VR.

I'm gonna guess that the justification for it being physical is because the real plan is for these Androids to replace important people.
