Weren't you the one who was saying all is well last month ?
It still is nowhere near as bad as Spring. Deaths and hospitalizations from *COVID* aren’t nearly close to April/May peak. Hospitals are full because of delayed surgeries and related backlog from spring. Hospitals are nearly full even during regular times in Ontario so no surprise a moderate rise has put things at crisis levels. They should’ve focused on increasing hospital capacity more than anything else. Delaying surgeries was also a huge mistake we are paying for now.

Yeah if they did option one that @thatrapsfan proposed from the very beginning, then this would be easier to contain. But people aren't compliant here and they would've never accepted it.

The procrastinating, mixed messaging and poor implementation of public measures did us no favours and there are no easy answers at this point

All you can do is hope that this dumbass provincial government will learn from their mistakes and not reopen public spaces too early again
Well current state, that's not working :patrice:

Alternative? Blow it up

How are the rest of the provinces doing? Well BC, Alberta?

Quebec don't count :heh:

Cases rising in Alberta and BC but doesn’t sound like either will go back to lockdown. BC did a much better job protecting their LTCH so has a much lower death rate. Something like 85% of deaths in Canada are from LTCH and this is even with a lockdown.

Btw vaccine would get delivered end of 2021 at the fastest in Canada, for widespread deployment. I think we are going to play this Cat and Mouse lockdown for a very long time until people get fed up.

Atleast in the summer people were able to exercise outdoors, go for bike rides/walks/runs and just get some fresh air.

I'm tryna find out why tf Ottawa and Toronto have more cases on their own than all of british columbia and B.C DOESN'T EVEN FORCE YOU TO WEAR MASKS INDOORS. Are these anti-maskers spitting or is it just a fluke or is it just the backlog?

Yep. But shut it down crowd doesn’t care and people will ask for more restrictions in two weeks.

Sick and tired of this shyt! We had 7 months to be prepared and did jack all. People are going to start saying "fukk it" and taking their chances. So many businesses are going to be wiped out. So many people will die from non-Covid related, so many domestic abuse incidences..crime going to the moon.
