I’ve lived here since I was 4 years old. I have little to no good experiences here. I’m growing to learn that you may not be destined to remain in the environment/city/area you grew up in, especially when you feel that it stagnates your personal and mental growth. Once the opportunity comes I’m out of here.

everywhere you walk it’s either a black dude and a white girl or more often black dude and Asian girl.

very rarely do I see a black couple arm and arm walking down the street. It’s discouraging.
What part of the city you grow up in?

Also, downtown you see a lot of interracial relationships, probably because demographics and values are different but in Scarbs and Etobicoke I very rarely see Black ppl date out. In fact, I’m the only breh or brehette I know that even entertains the idea of an interracial relationship.

That said, the dating landscape in Toronto is absolute shyt. Everyone is insecure, entitlement issues everywhere, nobody takes responsibility for their own actions, people want it to be about what they can get out of a union and not what they can give. Etc etc. It’s hard to find a down to earth, generous, communicative, half decent, humble person in toronto.

I don’t think montreal is as bad as Toronto but you’ll definitely see that here but it’s mostly the under 25 crowd, if you’re trying to meet black peoples you have to have an active social life

Dog, women actually have it really bad. Men have options if they have their own shyt together (career, money, etc). Most dudes who are single and/or available in their 30s/40s are losers, deadbeats and posers.

I'm thankful, married for 6 years, with my wife for 10 years overall, we have an amazing son. But let me tell you it has its own set of challenges too. This year ain't been the easiest. But the key is to navigate the tough times and appreciate the good ones.
