I’m nit sure about that but there are a lot of nikkas here who left Jane/regent early in life but think they have stripes lmao
I heard that when they started rebuilding Regent Park, they shipped a lot of the residents out to housing in Brampton with the promise of bringing them back. Not all of them were brought back.

Not regent park necessarily but yeah every other TCHC for a while that was being demolished or renovated went to Brampton and almost none came back.

i used to work for a nonprofit in regent park and folks told me that during the "revitailization" process some residents were displaced to cities as far away as ajax 
. in that context it's entirely believeable that they'd drop people into brampton
