I think it’s time for a change. We’ve travelled to 20 different countries together and had our eyes opened to how people that look like me don’t have to be treated like shyt everywhere we go. I’ve been pulled out of my car and questioned while the cops thought me and my father kidnapped my wife and was trafficking her :beli:

The cops trigger fingers aren’t nearly as itchy outside the states.

I get you. The cop fukkery is not as bad as the US for sure, but I have some tales and I’m squeaky clean as they come. Certainly not as prung driving around here as I would be in the US.

Yeah I have plenty of driving while black stops from the police, that comes with the territory which I’m very much over just being here and dealing with this shyt. I’ll take harsh winters in trade of Hurricanes and floods which are every single year down here. I would much rather freeze my balls off than die from Texas heat, plus my daughters will have access to abortions if needed and the education system isn’t dog shyt up there like it is down here.

My job is remote, I can move anywhere in Canada or the US but we are done with the fuccery both Texas and America are presenting to us now and in the near future.
I see.

I was in Oshawa a few weeks ago. So I'd say check it out. It's suburban but still has that small town vibe. Maybe it will translate into something affordable.

If you don't need to be in the GTA, don't. :manny:

I wouldn't vote Conservative. That's just an emotional reaction.

That's how we got Doug Ford. It was an emotional response to Liberals dropping the ball. But seeing how overworked hospitals were, even before covid, should show you it was the wrong choice.

If Conservatives are willing to spend reasonable, but not cut budgets and be aggressive on taxing rich, I'll consider it. Until then, I'll stand pat on Trudeau's fukkery.

Bruh, did you see who Doug replaced? Another liberal dingbat. That's why we got Ford. Libs went so fukking off the deep end people took anything opposite of that. Happens all the time. Go too left, people will vote right. Go to right...people will vote left.

Conservatives realize that the reich drive business, create jobs, etc. They are thriftier. Now, this isn't always a good thing, but Libs love to tax everyone to the moon in order to fund their initiatives. Some of them are utterly ridiculous. They spend, spend, spend and have nothing to show for it in the end. The people they intend to help are worse off. They fail when it comes to big business and generating jobs. They don't understand how companies are run so they think taxing to death will make things better. There are ways to get money from the wealthy without taxing them to death.

NDP even worse. Look at the debt we have amassed under Liberal rule. Complete madness.

Thanks for the advice brehs. I have a wife and two kids so not trying to stay downtown where rent is super high, we are having to start over from scratch so an apartment or condo will be in the cards until we are able to find the right house we would want to move into. I will be renting out our house in Houston so that gives us about $20k Canadian per year to supplement our incomes.
Reconsider downtown. It's probably one of the safest areas. Liberty Village is nice.

:dahell: cut taxes for the middle class, introduced child care benefits, spent a shyt ton of money on infrastructure plans, removed censorship that was placed on scientists from Harper's administration, peeled back on bill c51, handled covid assistance pretty well.

Yall seriously want the Conservatives to win? Do you not remember Harper's admin? And voting for the NDP is a waste of a vote since they're never going to win anything.

Baha. Cut taxes for the middle class. Excuse me? The middle class have been decimated during Trudeau's tenure. C'mon bruh.

Middle class is financially worse off today than they were 6 years ago. Job prospects are worse. Our economy is worse. Prospects for University educated graduates are worse than they were before. How can you say the middle class is better off? Trudeau has gone ape shyt on immigration bruh...That has impacted the middle class mightily.

:mjlol: You sound like a Republican.

Not taxing and not funding services isn't a choice anymore. We need real budgets, real solution. I don't think we need to cater to any class, just forget the promises and drop something that makes sense.

Real budgets? You say this while championing the Libs? Dog what are you talking about?

My point is, the middle class is shrinking because the middle class funds evertyhing. Cuts for the wealthy, funding for the poor. All off the backs of the middle class. Where do you think this country goes when there's no middle class?

If you're looking to buy a home then ya head outta the city but if you're looking for a place to rent when you first get here the difference between the city and suburbs isn't that much different.
