Ayo @TradePascalSiakam im thinking about rebooking my vaccine appointment Sunday since I got Pfizer for my first dose but I’d be getting moderna for my second dose…any intel on when Pfizer will be widely offered by the city/province??

Do it now, they added a bunch of appointments this afternoon for first week of July. I booked my aunt for Malvern for July 3rd. Just book the locations NOT listed as 18+.

Pfizer shipments are slow at the moment and its the only vaccine approved for 12-17 so even when pfizer shipments come in they will go to 12-17 age group first. So you might be waiting a while if you wait.

My one suggestion to save Toronto and make it cheaper:

This. Absolutely massive. I was a bruh who was lucky enough to have family that was mad resourceful and found ways to pay for me to play hockey even though we were poor and I got to play till I was about 16-17 but that’s when you’re paying for ice time and travelling to the states and it got way too expensive and a nikka was pretty nice too.

Point is, the experience opened my world. I had to fukk up a few racist cacs over the years but I really got to experience life outside of the hood and to know there was so much more than just my neighborhood. So many of my nikkas never got to see past that.

At least in American hoods there’s more funding that goes into things like sports because they know that sports may be the only way for some of these kids to escape the cycle but in Canada if you’re black, this simply doesn’t exist for you.

I always wondered how many brehs would make the NHL if there were more opportunity.

I guess you got to know PK Subban through actual hockey playing, eh?

Yup I played hockey as well and I remember this was like 25 years ago and it was like 500 bucks then for house league, when I made it to select it was even more money for the uniform, practice and travel. Many times for equipment i had to go to play it again sports and I'd get hand me down equipment from some rich folks on my team. Sports now are even more expensive even soccer

And I agree the experience is great

How old were you when you started? Was it your parents or you who really pushed for a young breh to play hockey?
