i could see people doing so depending on what they want from an MCU film. To me a this point ive long already accepted to the mcu humor in some cases in the comics it was even cheesier. This film did feel like Ragnarok++ they tried going back to that same well again but in the previous film the comedy felt more "fresh" id say since the previous two movies were kind of dull.

I think the biggest disappointment for me was the after credit scenes.
Not saying they was bad……
But I guess like how some are gonna work themselves into a shoot with this movie.
I was expecting them to basically have a “bigger bridge”

Looking back in Ragnarok’s case, it helped that Taika didn’t write the script and it was handled by people who were familiar with Thor’s character prior to Waititi’s arrival. He OD’d with the comedy here and needed to be reined in a bit.

I have zero interest in this movie. Besides the post credit spoiler that I read about, does this movie set anything up for the MCU moving forward? Also, is the sword of symbiote or Knull origins?
no real setup for anything in the future other than Thor has a daughter now and a Thor vs Hercules fight sometime in the next 10 years 
I say 10 years because who knows when they will film Thor 5 and I doubt they will meet in a non-Thor movie
The more I think about it, this is like the 5th season of a popular TV show where they introduce a kid to the main cast to breath some life into the show
The sword is just something Thor and the rest of the gods know about from "legend"
During their first fight Thor says "hey where you get that sword from"
"You know you can kill gods with that!"
Nothing about symbiote or where it comes from, the sword just randomly chooses Gorr at the beginning of the movie with no explanation and its destroyed at the end

Seemed like the post-credit scenes played into what was in store for the future of Thor films, rather than an overarching plot point like the Infinity Saga’s. Which is just fine, but I can see that also leaving people feeling underwhelmed. That era was such a game-changer and the expectations that have followed have still not died down, especially amongst all of this Secret Wars speculation.

Yea…. I really thought they was gonna show something that was gonna be more of a peak towards future projects or atleast a callback to some other past characters. Feels like they really trynna keep their direction close to the vest
We did end up having a past character pop by, but yeah these post-credit scenes lately are nothing as crazy as the Blade tease after Eternals. I’m just waiting on ONE guy to show up though and change the trajectory massively.

while you bullshytting….. I was thinking about it the other day. Meant to put in a thread for discussion.
But I think before they introduce the F4, they should introduce Dr. Doom first and like show his origin…. Then end the movie with him going to NYCU meeting Reed.
Maybe even tell the story like with him on his journey post college and mad flashbacks of his youth and lead up to him finally putting on the mask
