So suspicions were right, Gallinger's wife poisoned that doc. Yet another parralel to his own struggles because the doc she poisoned did the same kind of shyt to his patients as he does with the Eugenics stuff, and his wife poisoned that doc like Gallinger messed with Algernon's surgery. Sister was plotting the whole time too of course, no surprises there.

Also when Cornelia was telling Henry about the plague outbreaks and their father's ships. The way the camera was fixated on his face gave the strong impression that he was really behind it

Nah, Henry doesn't fukk with his father's shipping business one bit, he wants to get out of that and focus on modern industries.

Yeah, I thought it was meant to show Henry trying to hide the :smugfavre: face because he wanted out of the shipping biz.

Ep was cool but I'm kinda :francis: over Cleary wanting to fukk Harriet. It's the most obvious arc for both characters and I was hoping they'd avoid it.

Show could be a documentary on why you shouldn't be racist. Aside from getting a new broad Gallinger has been on an L spree for 2 seasons.

Someone needs to edit the last scene and add this song:

You might be right. I thought Henry might possibly be using the money he skimmed from the shipping business to invest in the subway and porn business he has going.

Kinda a boring filler episode :ld:

Knew Gallinger's wife killed that crazy doc and Gallinger would end up with her sister. Mental illness is partially genetic though :francis:

Thack doing nothing about Gallinger's eugenics :why:

Is it just me are do all these fake nose women look the same? She looked exactly like Thack's ex, or current, girl.

Coulda sworn Bertie would use adrenaline on her when her heart stopped beating. They set it up, but didn't try it. Weird.

Directing saved the episode for me though. Soderberg da Gawd. Whoever picks the colors for each scene needs to be commended as well. Those filters and lights are top notch. And the handheld camera works perfectly. I said it last week, but I'll say it again: This is the best directed show on television :wow:

Only 2 more episodes left :mjcry:

Im bipolar on this season. One ep i love, the next i find boring. It's still good but not in the same league as s1

He has a spanking fetish thats why he was getting off on spanking cokenurse.

In old shows when they mention 'the cat' they mean this:

Was hoping they wouldn't go there with Cleary. Barrow should've taken that receipt too.

I think it's more of a difference between eps where they're going through the motions (this was one of them) and eps where they really push forward. Like there are a bunch of developments in this episode but most of them were kinda obvious beforehand.

And this was never going to touch the first season because the first season was pretty much perfect in every single way.

Well in a fall season where many say Fargo improved over season 1 and The Leftovers made the leap, it feels like even more of a regression

You can't improve perfection, breh. Fargo 1 left enough to be improved on, and I don't watch The Leftovers but from what I understand season 1 wasn't that wavy either. The Knick was at best only going to continue on the same level, and this season shows how difficult it is even as they manage to reach that level quite regularly too.
