When a coach doesnt want to teach the one hander:

  • Its easier for beginners to learn the two hander..especially juniors who dont have the strength to hit a one hander
  • They probably dont know how to teach it

I swear people are so ignorant

A one handed backhand gives the player WAY MORE agility when hitting the ball. It allows you to hit angles to throw your opponent off. You can hit winners on angles without that much physical movement

With a two handed backhand, you have to use alot more foot speed just to hit a winner. And apply alot more strength. Which is why two handed backhanders like Djokovic, Nadal, and Murray always look like they running endless laps on the court, to make up for their lack of angles on their shots
