By the way brehs, I entered a tourney last week-end after 3 years of not doing competitive tennis anymore. I'm at my 4th round (one round a day) :whew:
If I look at this chart (PDF) : http://www.tennisplayandstay.com/media/133082/133082.pdf, at the moment, my ranking US-wise is 1.5. My best was 3.0 a few years ago.
  • 1st round : won 6/2 6/0 against a 1.0 (opponent may have made like 20 double faults :lolbron:)
  • 2nd round : walkover against a 2.0 :ahh:
  • 3rd round : won 7/5 6/3 against a 2.5 (but I definitely shytted this one... led 4/0 in the first set and led 5/1 in the second :beli: )
  • 4th round : today, I will play against another 2.5 (will keep y'all updated)
  • 4th round : won 6/2 6/0 against a 2.5 :smugfavre: I won it only by THINKING though : I started the match gunning like a stupid fukk so the two first games was lost with only 1 point won by me : 7 unforced erros and 1 double-fault... Then I said to myself : the dude facing you is old (I knew he was 60 years old, I don't respect my elders... :stopitslime: ), just keep the ball inbounds with a good amount of spin, move him and see what's happening then. Result ? 12 games in a row :ahh:
  • 5th round : tomorrow, playing a 3.0 :whew:

I gotta start playing, I wanna try to qualify for a US open.

I got all these rackets but no one in the house ever wants to play

Tried a few, he was on each one of them and processed to pass me (I was at the net) :patrice:
I stuck to my original plan then :lolbron:

In France, you gotta register to a tennis club (wherever your want) in order to get a tennis licence (which permits you to enter tournaments). I don't know how it is in the US but can't y'all do that ? That could also give you the opportunity to meet people to play with...

Isner out of Wimbledon w/a knee injury. The draw is opening up nicely for Blake and Djokovic :shaq:

Tsonga-Gulbis is the big match up of today on the men's side

Mahut-Robredo is going to be a good match too

Dustin Brown up a set on Hewitt. c'mon Brown!!

I don't really know jack shyt about Tennis brehs

Is Scotland's own Andy Murray going to win this thing? Or should I not get my hopes up?

:lupe:

I'ma be real w/you bruh.....get into tennis fam. It's SOOOO relaxing to watch and it's easy to learn by watching and listening. Got into tennis in 2007 and it's quite honestly my 2nd favorite sport to watch after football even though i'm still a HUGE basketball fan.

Wimbledon is the PERFECT Grand Slam to use to get into tennis.

As far as Andy Murray winning it; he's a favorite. If everything goes according to the draw he'd have to face Federer next Friday and then Djokovic next Sunday
