Yep, Roman, the guy who went solo in June 2014 and didn't win the title until November 2015 was forced upon them, but Finn Balor, the guy who debuted in July of 2016 and won the title in August of 2016, was not.

#smarklogic
Ive come to the conclusion that if smart marks dont like something, they will attempt to add a rational reason other than "i dont like him" in order to sound like a critic.

Like,

I dont like Samoa joe. I dont think hes a bad wrestler, but I dont like him at all. I am not going to add some weird narrative of wrestling logic as to why dont like him...just dont.

But 2016smark says, I dont like reigns Reigns is being FORCED on us, when there are all these other guys like (insert name of everyone on this card besides brock orton and cena) who are more deserving (although when they get pushed I wont support them) and you cant force stuff on the fans...

While saying YES FINALLY they are giving a new guy a chance...long live finn balor.

This is the same crowd who talks about how Bray Wyatt is dumb, but loves the "demon king" finn balor...

I dont care about the consistancy but if you dont someone or something like they dont like reigns JUST SAY IT.

The ONLY reason they are behind balor and not reigns' push is because they like balor and not reigns.

Ok so here's my brief review of SummerSlam (brief because I'm typing all of this on my phone... please forgive a breh for any spelling errors) Overall i thought this was a good ppv, little bit too long but WrestleMania and SummerSlam can get away with long ass ppvs, Royal Rumble can't do it and Survivor Series shouldn't :scust:

Enzo & Cass vs JeriKO - Enzo and Cass are both that dude when it comes to promos. Kinda shocked that Jericho and Owens won it so i hope it means they are the next team to win the tag team titles

Sasha vs Charlotte for the Women's Championship - Great match, those two work well together. It was shocking that Sasha lost the title so soon and Charlotte winning it without fukkery. Maybe Sasha's back was injured before this and had to drop the title, whatever the case her new husband has to be :mjcry:since he can't blow Sasha's back out because its already blown out.

Miz vs Apollo Crews for the I.C. Title - for what it was the match was fine but didn't blow me away. Maybe I'm too spoiled from all the black excellence that i see weekly from Gawd Lashley on Impact that i expect more from Crews. Crews has time to grow and mature but he has to show me something more.

AJ Styles vs John Cena - Great match, this should have been the main event honestly. As much as people hate Cena you have to admit that with the right opponent and the right build up and the right venue Cena is golden. I hope this leads to a Styles vs Ambrose match for the WWE Championship at the next ppv.

The Club vs The New Day for the Tag Team Championships - First i like Jon Stewart but he was aweful tonight, really had no business on this show. Second i hate how they ruined Doc and Anderson, they were such bad asses now they are comedic heels and this storyline was horrible. Third that ending was garbage, i love New Day and booty... Os but they need to drop the straps now *insert disgusted HHH gif here*

Ambrose vs Ziggler for the WWE Championship - i honestly liked the match. I liked how commentary played up that Dean is a crazy motherfukker... basically commentary did their job for once. Cool seeing Dean play as a heel for the night, his next feud needs to be witj AJ Styles

6 Womens Tag Match - When they played Eva Marie's music and her announcer was talking i was instantly like ":gladbron:Is the announcer gonna say Eva can't compete because of her 30 day suspension? These nikkas are wild" :beli:but he didn't say it. Nikki Bella back :yeshrug:watch Total Bellas brehs...

Finn Balor vs Seth Rollins for the :mjlol:Universal :mjlol: Championship - The belt looks better than i thought it would have looked. I don't mind the red leather but it really needed a different design to stand apart from the WWE Championship. I don't mind Finn winning because I'm sure Seth gonna get a rematch next month, i just hope they don't hot shot Finn to ruin.

Rusev vs Roman - :francis:i still don't understand why they gave the acutally match for free on Raw and gave us the bullshyt on the ppv. If they have to "Make Roman Look Strong" thats fine but don't make Rusev look like a bytch in the process.

Lesnar vs Orton - Match was pretty much how i thought it would be: tons of suplexes, one or two RKOs, Brock hurts Orton, Brock collects paycheck and heads to the steakhouse. We'll see Brock at the Royal Rumble

Oh yeah Shane gets F5'd by Brock, some one asked Daniel Bryan if he was gonna run out there and stop Brock and Daniel calmly answered...

Did you watch the match?

I thought it was well worked and had a good flow. Dean and Dolph have good chemistry together and they tapped into each other's characters pretty well. They told a story in the ring and it helped that the match was bolstered by good booking. I don't see what was so bad about it besides that stupid botch

Maybe I need to watch it again, but it was really, really flat to me. It showed Dean being arrogant, and goofy with Dolph showing up. There's nothing that stood out whatsoever for me in that match. With Dean's limited move-set, it's really hard for a quality match to happen. He's stunk up the place with Dolph, Jericho, and Brock..think that says something about him. But I'll watch it again before Raw.

Dean has had poor PPV matches all year.

  1. Nonsense spotfest with KO where KO took all the bumps anyway
  2. Nothing triple threat with Roman/Brock
  3. House show match with Brock at WM
  4. Regular singles with Jericho
  5. Possibly the worst PPV match of the year with the cage match
  6. Did nothing in a generic ass MITB
  7. The shockingly poor Shield triple threat
  8. The hour 1 Raw main event with Ziggler at SS
He's the most consistently poor PPV performer this year, yet has been rewarded because he hasn't been injured and isn't Roman. It's really crazy.
