Hmm... I'm normally pretty optimistic with my reviewing, but this was a big disappointment.
WAY too long. Not even just a bit draggy, this shyt felt like a fukking sentence at times.
AJ/Cena and Sasha/GOATLette were the only matches worth a damn.
I can't honestly decide if GOATLette's top rope 'botch' on Sasha was intentional just to put more heat on her whilst Sasha's out and hype up the return of the Bo$$... the only thing holding me back is that it looked so awkward... I mean, it looked like a fukking botch, but also that they were fully intending it given that the whole match was focused on that injury from then on. I wouldn't put it past them - they're two of the best crowd-workers in the company right now. Sasha's cool with stealing headbands and making little girls cry... I bet she's cool with an ostensibly botched spot to keep the angle's momentum going over a sabbatical.
Lesnar didn't go off fukking script people. You think if Brrrrrock Lesnarrrr was legitimately going into business for himself that it'd be Shane McMyHandsAreMadeOfWind rushing to confront him? Dude would've been Harambe'd before he got anywhere near the owner's son. He might've made Randy bleed more than they intended, but that was the ending to the match that was planned - it was obvious it was going to an early finish when they started it with only about 15 mins running time left. Horrible, horrible, horrible.
I'm not the biggest Blandy fan in the world, but they really can't go around booking him like that. 15 years in the making, 15 minutes to flush it down the pan. The only way to save this is for Randy to go ultra dark... he was channeling Jake with that smile after the RKO on the table... let him get nasty. Punts. Weapons. Sadistic shyt. But going by Dean's comments... would Brock sign up for it?
AJ/Cena was excellent. I have a lot of time for Big Match John at the moment... he's slid into his top-of-the-midcard role superbly and his status means anyone facing him treats it like a championship match.
Match order was actually embarrassing. A child could've done better.
I normally like a smark-leaning crowd, but this lot were total bullshyt.
