Yall ever notice the grading inconsistencies with PSA ?

I have noticed recent PSA 10s i have bought look alot better than older slabbed PSA 10s...

I have 2014 SP Zach Lavine Auto that is a PSA 9 and looks flawless and it looks MUCH better than some PSA 10 cards i have that were submitted 20 years ago...

I have some 90s basketball and baseball cards that are PSA 10 and have some flaws that are not crazy but definitely noticeable.PSA was definitely lenient on corner grading in the early years...

That's why BGS used to outsell them in the early 2000s. Those old label BGS 9.5s are legit. They were brutal back then; now the roles have reversed.

Its wild to think a PSA 10 is not really a gem mint...I do find myself looking at singles and inspecting regardless what the case says..2 years ago if it said PSA 10 that was enough for me...Now if its an older card especially im staring at it for 10 mins...

I do the same thing but at the end of the day, 99% of future buyers won't care how it looks, just the grade.

No real price guide. Best thing is to follow completed eBay auctions to get a sense of a card's worth or ask us in here.

PSA and BGS are the two main grading options. You fill out their forms online and send your cards away, though there's a process to it and how they want the cards shipped.
Appreciate it, and looked into it
So basically I send some cards out now and I'm probably not seeing them again for almost a year

Going through the collection and it's a trip looking at some of the joints i have in plastic cases based on who they were at that time...Shareef Abdur-Rahiem, Eddie Jones, Antonio McDyess and Joe Smith rookies :mjlol: Looking at this Steve Blake autographed rookie like :martin:

I hope PSA's increased prices finally get people to stop submitting every single base card they pull out of a pack so turnaround times can get better.

PWCC is doing 3 free vault submissions for March. Each sub can have an unlimited amount of cards of any value. No submission or storage fees. Forever.

I've been strongly considering it for months now. This promo might be the final kick in the rear I have needed. Have a friend who has used the vault for storage and selling the past year and swears by it. Beats eBay's 13% fee.

I think I'm going to pull the trigger. Snapped some photos before I probably say goodbye to these.
It doesn't feel right sending them off. But I'd rather they be in a vault and insured. :mjcry:

You know the drill. Prizm is king.
No silver, though. Was waffling when they were 1500 trying to get one for 1300. Zero chance I pay 7-8k for one now.

Marquee is pop 3. Top 3 favorite looking card I own. Exudes those late 80s/early 90s vibes.
The Studio is jersey #.
All are /99

Impeccable /25 is currently subbed for grading.
Top left is /79. Top right is Gold /25.
Silver Rookie Ticket is unnumbered. Not sure what print run is. I would assume less than 200-250ish. Roughly 140 have been graded by PSA and BGS. Corners make it not a gem so not worth breaking CS seal imo.

Both of the Opulence along with the Rookie Ticket Auto were bought as redemptions when he wasn't signing for Panini after his rookie year and the theory that his mom was signing had picked up a lot of steam. There was maybe concern he wouldn't sign again? I'm not sure. But they were went for criminally low amounts. Everything did back then, but these autos/RPAs especially. I think there was speculation that he might not sign again and those redemptions would go unfulfilled.

You're gonna cake off those when you decide to sell. You don't feel secure keeping them at home? Does anybody else know what you have? :lupe:

If you decide you want to sell with someone else, will PWCC ship them back to you? I have my eye on a few things from the current Goldin auction. If I win, I'm gonna send them some stuff to cover it. They seem to be really picking up steam with the high end crowd.

I've been tracking some of their Lukas. This one is a monster: Lot Detail - 2018-19 Panini Donruss Optic Autograph - Gold #177 Luka Doncic Signed Rookie Card (#01/10) – PSA GEM MT 10 "1 of 1!"

I’m just shook of keeping that much value on me. Nobody knows what I have, or where I have it. But I’m lowkey paranoid about theft, fire, water leak, etc. I’d hate for some freak outlier occurrence to fukk my finances up.

PWCC will ship cards back for 0.25% fulfillment fee. Essentially a 40-60k card that they store can be sent back to you for $100-150. Not terrible considering they will store for free and only have to pay 8% to them upon sale instead of 13% to eBay.

Goldin is definitely where it’s at for high end. I’ve also noticed they’re getting a lot of buzz lately. I assume this promo is PWCC’s attempt at procuring high end pieces themselves.

That gold is :banderas:

I don't really have a max. I have enough in my collection that I can sell to cover almost anything so if I thought the value was there, I'd buy. Most I've spent up to this point is around $15K for my LeBron Color Blast.
