I hope you didn't go higher than you said.Tempted to keep bidding on this card, but I think I'm going to tap out. Not sure I want to spend $3,000 on another Lamar card. I think $2,500 was my max.

Nah, I think I maxed mine at $2,200. I'd have been fine with that, and MAYBE $2,400, but I placed my max at $2,200.
That makes baseball an easier transition. Also likely means the return of Topps Chrome to basketball and football.
Baseball's a different market than basketball and baseball though. Panini has been a better card manufacturer than Topps for a while now. If Fanatics tries to use Topps alone for the basketball and football licenses, a lot of people are gonna be disappointed.

I'm not crazy about the 2018 ones because they didn't come from a real set. They made those specific Kabooms a stand alone thing.
I'd get a couple big cards of the GOAT before going after another unproven QB. You already took a flier on Lamar. I wouldn't take another massive risk unless you can really afford it.
Personally, I don't think Hurts it that guy either.
So, both of you are pretty low on Hurts?
Would you say $1,500 is too much for a rookie contenders auto PSA 10 for him? I don't want to take too many risks, but I feel like he is that player that can fill up a stat sheet and is in a big market.

I haven't seen enough of him, but want to buy somewhat low on players in big markets.
I don't think he has it in him to be a top-five QB. If you buy some of his stuff, he strikes me as an in-and-out purchase. If he has a hot streak and his prices start rising, I'd personally sell during that streak.

Thats cool as fukk but id hate to have to keep that pristine for grading....i hate relic cards generally but id keep that raw grade as a show piece...
