Also looking at some more Kaboom! cards.
Buynicecards is the dirty seller. It looks like it went for $10,000 last year. I'll offer low on it, and see what happens.
Was high-endcards the seller you said don't purchase from? I remember there was on you said not to buy from recently. Maybe about one month ago?
Edit: I sent offers for $5,000 and $7,250 and both got the auto rejection. I am definitely interested in the card, and MIGHT go to $10,000, but that's a lot of change.
There's some nice Contenders auctions going on for Lamar right now. Also looking at some more Kaboom! cards.
Buynicecards is the dirty seller.
For what it's worth, the guy selling the Lamar supposedly sold it for $10K last year even though he still has it so that's probably his minimum, which is why it's been up so long.
He was trimming cards.Yeah, that's what I figured as I saw on the PSA cert lookup that it went for that last year. Obviously, I don't blame him for holding onto it for no less. I might make one more offer for $8,500 as I just think the card looks beautiful, and I think Lamar can have an MVP type season still, and more in the future.
Edit: What does the "buynicecards" guy do that's dirty?
He was trimming cards.
Probably bumping the grade up. So either resubmitting hoping for a better grade or trimming and hoping it slips through for a better grade.Got it. I've been reading on of the locked threads on BO about it. What does "bumping cards" mean in the card hobby? I tried to look for what it meant, but can't seem to find what it means.
You gotta do your homework as best you can and try to get an understanding of condition sensitive sets. After reading about some of these people and trimming the cards and "fixing" them up, I'm a lot more hesitant on trying to buy a relatively big card..

These scumbags doctor everything, big and small.Would you say going through Goldin or PWCC would be better for some of these auctions? I guess I'm not THAT hesitant unless it's a really big card. I'm going to guess that people aren't wasting as much time doctoring smaller cards.
It’s atrocious. Sets coming out almost playoff time of the following season.I really can't get over how bad Panini fukked up the basketball schedule. They still have 5-8 more releases scheduled for the 2020-21 season. Flawless is gonna be out during the All-Star break at this rate.
