I see the post above, but just not going to quote because of the picture size.

So, field level is the most "basic" or lower end level of the cards you posted?

I know that certain colors mean there are a certain amount of each card in particular from my understanding. With that said, I looked for a gold version for Kyler of the same one I was bidding on for Lamar. I didn't see any gold ones from search history or anything, but maybe I was just searching the wrong information?
Field Level is the high end, short printed card. The most sought after in Select. They've raised the print run the past couple years but it's still the top dog.

I didn't see any recent Kylers get sold.

Got it.

So, for example, this card below for Lamar. From my understanding, there are only five of these cards that were made as it's a green one? If so, what do you think about the value for this one?

Greens generally don't get the same love as Golds even though they're a little rarer. The Golds just look better so people prefer them. I wouldn't go above a Gold price.

Interesting.

Didn't realize that the rarer ones don't always get the same love or value.

Where do the Panini Flawless cards rank in the hierarchy?

I'm looking at these two as two possibilities. They look beautiful, but I have no idea on the value. I have a Lamar Ruby on card auto PSA 10 for one of them, but if I could snag one of these?:wow:.

I looked up the recent sales of those two cards above, and Lord have mercy have these cards skyrocketed in the past two years, even one year.:why:.

Flawless has lost some luster in recent years. Panini fukked up making all sorts of parallels to the base diamond cards. They're still by far the rarest, lowest print run base rookie cards. I could see a scenario in the future where people look back and realize they can't find them anymore and the prices shoot up.

Interesting. I just love the way some of those Flawless cards look. They look amazing.

Do stained glass cards rank near the top in terms of desired cards? I didn't realize that the Flawless ones might not be as sought after as I thought at this point in time.

Also, over the next few months, if you guys see any big Brady, Mahomes, Murray, Jackson, or any QB cards, let me know. I've been trying to save a good amount and use some of my investment money to buy a big card or two. I know this is going to sound like a big range, but if there are any cards you see in that $10,000-50,000 range over the next few months, definitely post some in here because I might have some real interest. I could do one on the lower end of that range now, but would need maybe a month or two to get near the later part of that range, but I'd be open to looking.

Also, I know no one can predict the future and this is all opinion based, but do you guys think the card market will stay like this and continue to go up? Or, do you think there will be a big pullback and all of these cards will lose a lot of value or stall for quite some time? That's the biggest reason I've been hesitant on buying a "big" card. I don't want to spend a lot and then see the value drop in half.:unimpressed:.

Yeah, the Prizm Stained Glass cards are pretty popular; Mosaic ones not as much though the football ones are a pretty tough grade.

Flawless base diamond RCs are a potential smart buy, imo. They look nice, they're unique and we know the print run is incredibly low. The prices aren't crazy for them either in comparison of other short printed cards.

If you want to spend big, I would stick with Brady if you want to make sure you don't lose your ass; Mahomes is the other option. Anyone else is too speculative for my blood. This is a monster Brady that ends on Monday and will fall within your range:

2012 Panini Silver Prizm #116 Tom Brady New England Patriots PSA 10 GEM MINT | eBay

High end is safe, imo. Focus on quality instead of quantity and you should be good. I wouldn't spend heavy on regular base cards unless it's really condition sensitive (no current cards are like that). Stick with low pop, rare, aesthetically pleasing cards and I believe you'll be alright. There's ups and downs like any other investment lanes but the cream always rises to the top. Even with the recent pull-back, card values are way up over the last year and have been on a steady climb the last five years.

What do you think of this card?

I made an offer and he countered, but his counter is right in doable range for me right now.

He countered with $3,500 from my original offer? Too much, or not bad?

I'd try to work it down a little more. It auctioned for $2,300 in November.

The BIN is so outrageous only two people are watching and only two offers have been made since May (yours included).

The two watchers is a bad sign for interest in the near future. If a card is coveted enough, even crazy BINs will attract eyeballs and watchers just to see where it lands. To me, that makes it a hold your money, be patient and wait for a better card to become available.

I can see how many watchers there are, but how do you tell how many offers there have been for it?

You go to a site called watchcount.com

Find the eBay item number and entered it into the search bar. When it pulls the item up, there's a part that says "best offer enabled" with a link next to it that says "history."

It used to give the price of the offers but something changed and it only says when offers were made.

Thanks, that will be very helpful. I would have figured that Lamar /3 card would be worth more, but I guess that goes back to what you were saying earlier about Flawless.

I was doing the math, and I think I should be able to go for one of those bigger cards in the $20,000 range in the next 6-8 weeks, maybe sooner, depending on how much some of my staking rewards to crypto end up being worth, as it's all market dependent.

I just don't want to make the mistake of buying a big card just to buy one, and get burned down the road. I think I'm going to try and save up over the next three months for a few bigger cards. I might buy a few in the $1,000 range here and there over the next few months, but I think I'm just going to try and save and go higher end.
