Also, in regards to getting ROI on these cards in the future, I would obviously love one of those 5-10x explosions, but for some of them, I think I'd me more than fine with a 2x. I'm buying some of these cards as a hedge with my crypto and investment portfolio. Obviously card values can go down as well, but even if it can remain level or go up slightly, it's still worth it to me at this time to buy some, hold them, and use them as a hedge.

Doesn't even have to be an auction, I'm open to making a best offer to someone as well. I'd say my price range for a card right now would preferably be under $10,000, but if the price and value are right, I would possibly be willing to go higher.

Your best bet on eBay is setting alerts for the cards you’re looking for and nabbing them early via BIN or best offer. More times than not, you’re going to get taxed to hell in auction.

I know @Regular_P already commented on the first one, as I see the last auction was a little over $3,100 for the first card. You think $4,500 would be overpayment for it? Looking at the recent auction prices, unless I'm an idiot, it looks like one went for $5,655 on May 9th, and one went for $2,565 on May 20th, unless I am blind and they are two different card?

Tax, as in, total cost to you. I either pay full price or lowball egregiously. Few to no come ups to be had on open auctions unless the listing is mislabeled.

On big cards, most BINs are insanely overpriced.

Yeah, the Prizm Stained Glass sets in football are a big deal. The 2017 Mahomes is one of his key rookie inserts, probably THE one (and the Gold).

$4,500 is too high considering they have been trending down.

I guess I'm asking as when I've been buying mine, I've been looking up recent prices, and if it's within range or even a little lower, I've been pulling the trigger on the purchase.

In general, I just kind of follow the template @Regular_P laid out in this thread. Lately, I’ve been looking at piecing together sets for the inserts I fukk with. Marvels, Kaboom, certain studio sets. Depending on the player, I’ll take a shot on 1/1s or certain SPs, if I think I’ll be able to come up later. Couple of cards I intend to take to the grave too.
