Because Miami is not an entry-level city except for highly-skilled jobs. You're competing with people here, nationwide and abroad so there's a surplus of talent and Miami employers reserve the right to be picky on candidates. Unlike Los Angeles where employees are always looking for the better opportunity and employers pay to keep bodies, Miami people are loyal to an employer and have to be fired, retired or snatched up from someone else to leave. So, that stagnates new workers to workforce. There's always jobs but opportunities to learn what is needed to get the practical experience is usually elsewhere.

That definitely makes sense. I have noticed that too. You have to wait until a person get's fired or retires for a position to open up. Nothing against those that work at a place for a long time, but at North Dade Regional library I see the same faces working there from 14 years ago. I'm like damn! I also see that many of the jobs (depending on where you go) are given to the latinos, especially non black latinos. I was using Uber the other day and a Haitian man was my driver. he told me tht he started his own business and does Uber part time, because of the things he went through on the job. He said there is not as much discrimination in healthcare. His wife is a nurse.

Where there's "thots galore", hypermasculinity isn't too far behind, men showing off and puffing out there chests to attract the attention of these women, add alcohol and drugs into the mix and it's basically a disaster waiting to happen, doesn't mean it's a 100% guarantee that it will but the odds are not in the favor of "peaceful gathering"

Plus, Miami there is a lot of nepotism and :mjpls: that goes on. Can't hate the players, I hate the game so I want to go to NC or GA for law school. Preferably UNC School of Law or Carolina Law as they call it. :mjpls:

Real talk...I see this a lot. I almost got fired from my job because two white Cubans lied on me. I know that it does not define all non blacks, but I see this A LOT. I am definitely leaving Miami.

So you're saying that if someone majors in journalism/marketing and wants to do broadcasting or whatever they are better off going somewhere else (Atlanta, Philadelphia, Richmond, and etc) for an entry level position.
Unless you're starting something on your own then yes. IT, Health care and engineering you're good.

It would have been project coordinator, research analyst, financial analyst or some shyt IDC about. I was always interested in law but was scared off from the prospects of debt and job security after graduation. fukk that! I know how I want to live and what I love doing. Being in suits, in court, reading, writing, researching and being respected.

Dat Palm Bay life got you spoiled, breh.

The cribs up there are too big and cheap.

I can't deal with the silence and solitude, tho
Na son I'm not in Palm Bay. I'm in satellite beach. I got the Atlantic Ocean across the street:blessed:

Go running on the beach on a daily basis:whoo:

Mom and pops bars and restaurants that you can walk in with chancletas on :obama: That's that chill life. I go to Miami to do that real partying lol
