Anybody read Revolution Betrayed, or Trotsky in general, before?

Reading it for a Russian history class. I'm about 70 pages in and it's a much more intriguing and analytical work than I would have anticipated given the general image I had of Trotsky. Pretty insightful stuff.

His critique of soviet bureaucracy being a bull work against socialism has certainly been vindicated by history.

I was at an economics lecture yesterday and this fukking speaker mentioned socialism for about 10 seconds and said it was when there is literally complete income equality and total government control And then proceeded to call this made up strawman ridiculous and proclaiming how much better capitalism was before 100 students

No group immediately claimed responsibility for the bombing, and the government has denied any part in it. The prime minister, Ahmet Davutoğlu, cited the political upheaval in both Turkey and Syria and said the attack could have been carried out by Islamic State, Kurdish militants or radical leftist groups.

Witnesses and victims’ families on Sunday said the police had not provided any protective measures for the peace rally, which had called for an end to recent bouts of violence that had gripped Turkey and was mostly attended by leftist, Kurdish and Alevi activists.

So according to Turkey, leftists and/or Kurds bombed their own rally
