that yellow b*stard story in the first had a Leon: The Professional feel to it, they had to go all GRINDHOUSE on us and make the second part of the story an 80's revenge flick

watching it again, since i saw it in the theatres i think it was the make up department that just got lazy, if you ever read any of the TPBs you'd notice alot of the people in sin city are creature-esque
like the dude fukking the barely legal prosty in the start wasnt supposed to look like ray liotta he was a small disgusting fat balding mother fukker with zits and boils all over his body, they missed the point of that scene in what was to be a setup for what women would do for power and money. Like the scene in the girl with the dragon tatto only the whore is supposed to be pretending to like it and playing dude and telling him how much she loves him.

Eva Green did a spectacular job, her accent was supposed to sound that way because the way the books are written with a cinematic feel that is a call back to crime and murder mysteries from the 30's and 40's, so with that accent shes really channeling ava gardner
