I saw an early screening. It’s funny, engaging, and captivating.

Great way to spend 2 hours on a weekend. 9/10 easily.

Question, can DC even use captain marvel's name in the movie?!?

No they can’t and haven’t been able to use the name at all for at least 5-6 years now. Before that they couldn’t call any comic he was in Captain Marvel, but he and the Marvel family kept their names.

This issue was resolved with marvel comics has nothing to do with Disney . They Cant use the name captain marvel for any promotion or licensing so why even bother with the name ? When they can license Shazam ?

Also, another thing that got me in the finale that didn't even hit me as hard when I read the comic:

Freddy being the one given flight. Seeing his crutch fall and his feet leave the ground got me, brehs. You know that shyt had to mean so much to him beyond even just being a superhero fanboy.

Also the little added touch that he spent about 99.9% of his time as Capt. Marvel Jr floating or flying was cool.
