idk, I think Brits are more individualistic than Easter Euros or Germans, not just n every other walk of life but in boxing too.
They have plenty of robotic fighters.
There are exceptions though from white Brits.
Froch wasn't fluid but he had his own awkward style, not your everyday textbook fighter droid.
Frampton is kinda fluid
Lee Selby is probably the weakest chain among champs in 126 and it's a joke that he calls himself Welsh Mayweather but he is also less robotic
Tyson Fury is also awkward hell and not textbook but Idk if you count him, cause he is gypsy... A white gypsy though. Interestingly here in Hungary there are many gypsys but their skin in deep to light brown but UK gypsies like Fury and the ones in Snatch are full white
but sure there are many Brits who are robotic I just feel it's less common among them than among Germans or Russians
Well the Russians teaching Cubans about boxing I learned from wrestling ironically. We had a Cuban silver medalist teaching a wrestling camp and he was breaking down how the Russians were the ones who taught them wrestling and boxing. To the point that all of the old ass books you find in Cuba are in Russian. When you look at the the older Cuban amateurs it's easier to see it(both boxing and wrestling). Cuba wasn't doing shyt at the Olympics until their Russian plug came through ask Stevenson.
But with this era of fighters shyt is different since everyone is connected with the internet and we have shyt like 24/7 showing us these guys camps and stuff. Kind of like music when we were young just by hearing a song or by seeing how someone dressed you knew what region they were they were from. It's not like that anymore kind of the same in boxing like you could tell when a fighter was from Philly or Detroit it's not really like that anymore. We're all connected so nikkas pick and chose shyt that they like and make it their own. If you were to tell me in the 90s that a fighter from the Ukraine was doing the shyt Pretty Boy Loma doing I would have gave you a
There a gang of exceptions but yea for the most part it's pretty hard to tell where a fighter is from anymore by just looking at them. Generic Eurocac is becoming obsolete I just blew my own mind
Great fight to look foward to
Classic power vs skills fight
No need to talk about it....you will see first hand, and pay for not having faith in SOG
Will re-up this post after SOG vs Kovalev
Krack's right it is getting much harder to tell, at least amongst the elites. In relation to generic euro's, you can usually tell by their stance and the way they actually throw their punches. But most of all you can tell because they rarely move their heads.really though?
I can notice styles of different countries not states though

State to state is much more difficult, but in the US you can still KIND of tell by region. It will all depend on who our next lineage of great trainers will be, because Roach is shot, Black Mamba and Floyd Sr's age and health problems, Garcia's style is turning out to be not so effective. Hopefully, guys like B Hop, Toney (if still capable), Floyd etc. will take the training or coaching routes, and pass down what they've learned. Because we need a new wave.
Roach is so overrated
lets hope frankie gomez breaks the mold.Dude gets a once in a lifetime fighter in Manny and every single one his fighters has no variety in their attack, poor ring cutting off skills, poor defense or Plan B when Plan A doesn't work. Look no further than Postol against Crawford.
West coast style aka Mexican style-Brandon Rios, LSC, early BATBfew example from the past or now?
I was always interested in different styles/regions but so far I could only tell it by country I didn't recognize different regional styles n the US jut maybe that the Mexica-American and the Afro-American hallmark style is usually different but that' not regions but races
He never even adjusted Postol's punching style. If you watch the Matthysse fight on the punch that KO'd Lucas, it was just an arm punch that he ran into. Likewise for someone as awkward and 'rangey' as Postol, Roach barely advanced his game.Dude gets a once in a lifetime fighter in Manny and every single one his fighters has no variety in their attack, poor ring cutting off skills, poor defense or Plan B when Plan A doesn't work. Look no further than Postol against Crawford.

Midwest Style evolved from Philly Style really-Toney, Hopkins, Floyd. You could also use Kronk gym style as 'Midwest style'.
But damn you're right breh trying to come up with this is harder than I thought. I still think there's a disparity between the Slick US style, and somewhat robotic/more technical European/Cuban styles.
Edit: With all the Euro fighters mimicking or putting their spin on the US slick style, I don't recall a US based fighter doing the same and adapting European spin. Maybe I'm wrong though.
Agreed, I was just touching on the point krack brought up, that the Cuban boxing school was initially the Russian system. Obviously after all these years, the styles has evolved and separated.Cuban is not = Russian anymore though
Lara or especially Rigo and Gamboa fight nothing like Russians.
Americans who rather fought robotic? Idk... Jermall Charlo sometimes...? Pavlik?
