the crowd booed because all they saw were headshots. thats why you cant go by the crowd. they get excited over the punches they see thrown up top, whether they land or not. RJJ beat Tarver that first time but the crowd swore he didnt because of all the punches they saw Tarver throw when RJJ was against ropes. Roy controlled the fight otherwise and worked Tarvers body well.
two things the crowd didnt see, they didnt see that Andre was rolling with a lot of the headshots so he really wasnt getting tagged clean at all most of the time. the other thing is, the crowd didnt see the accumulation of body shots from Ward. why do you think Kovalev slowed down so much in the championship rounds?

I had to text him to check on it because JDJ looked like he was at a car wash cleaning a luxury car , trynna have a convo with the car owner, and the owner was there like "nikka, get my shyt clean and stfu". He said he knew something was awkward when they had JDJ in the back during the entrance
You guys gotta understand a couple of things:
1. HBO prefers white fighters, or anybody not Black ( they are easier to manipulate and also HBO works with them smoother and give into their demands easier)
2. Kov is a HBO fighter.
3. Lampley and Lederman had their agenda
4. HBO needed their guy to win since they having financial trouble. SO them screaming robbery is a win win. Not only do they appease to their white viewers, they also make sure people tune in for a rematch.
I understand where they're coming from but to take away what Dre did, and to act like he didn't do his part is just disgraceful. ALso mentioning the cold war ? Are you serious ? WHite AMericans are supposed to be patriotic, right ? WHat about the anthem ? What about the troops ?
The way Ward bullied Kov and make him respect his power was pretty. Ward got him frustrated, confused and gassed from body shots. Kov was wrestling and it took a toll on him, a bigger one as Ward kept landing those liver shots and spleen combos.
Kovalev never met a true champion like Ward before. Ward has fought fighters almost as good as Kov and he showed it. The jabs and the hooks after the clinches were accurate and snappy. Ward footwork and defense after that KD
So much happened in the fight. I said in the ring gang chat that Kov was not landing anything from rd 6. In rd 7, Kov landed 4 jabs and a body shot, but HBO had him landing 25 shots
They even had a replay to show a right hand and Kov missed by a mile. He missed lotta punches by a frog pubic hair though, but the judges saw better.
Also refreshing to see Oakland show up and scream SOG to have their WARRIOR going. No chef Curry.

I am telling you my dude, I hate HBO. The highlight after the fight leading to the credits were all Kov shots. Not even one shot from Ward at all.

The only person that was being extra was Lederman and he was literally getting laughed at by Roy and Max
HBO pointed out the body shots, the fact Kov was holding on the inside, the fact his punches didn't have as much snap later etc. I don't think they were that bias really. People here have a weird bias against HBO, probably motivated by Floyd beef with them. The same dude taking pics cheesing with Trump and talking about all lives matter but I digress
After the fight a PRO WARD crowd was booing the decision. What was HBO supposed to ignore that? I don't understand the critiques really
