PWG is nevereally going to change and it's why they'll last forever. They found a level where they turn a profit and can maintain it if the product quality stays where it is. It's the most you can ask for for a tiny company founded and run by a bunch of indie wrestlers who have no interest in selling to a buyer or trying to go national. They flirted with expansion a few years ago with a European tour and a much heavier sCheadle but they've absolutely found their lane, and Reseda is the only noteworthy wrestling venue in the country right now, and a hot ticket that draws in celebrities now.

Probably my favourite promotion, due to the sheer quality of everyone on the roster on their shows. Always delivers in the ring too.

One small thing I've noticed that I enjoy about PWG is that they edit out all the entrances. I know that's a music rights situation, but honestly, I watch Progress, RPW, Evolve, CZW, etc, and sometimes they waste a fukkload of time for a boring ass entrance anyway. I caught that last RPW show for Ospreay and Sabre's matches and there must have been 20
minutes before two dudes even locked up. Ring announcer was slower a Great Khali chop. Edit that shyt out and just get to the action, unless you showing out on production money.

The full line up for the first two nights has been released. PWG is indy at it's indiest but Reseda makes everything fun to me. This year's tournament looks pretty damn great (it starts on September 2nd).

-Night 1:

Tommy End vs Zack Sabre Jr
Marty Scurll vs Pentagon Jr
Ricochet vs Jeff Cobb

Matt Sydal vs John Hennigan
Jushin Thunder Liger vs Chris Hero
Fenix vs Will O'Spreay

Dalton Castle and The Boys vs Adam Cole and The Young Bucks

That Lucha Underground takeover.:whoo:

I don't see a LU guy going over, since they'll probably throw them all in a mixed tag on a later night for complete highspot fukkery.

Looking at the brackets on the Wiki page:

Battle of Los Angeles (professional wrestling) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I think I see Ospreay taking the top bracket. Trevor Lee or Ricochet taking bracket two and Sabre or Scurll for bracket three. Unless they push Rhodes over in bracket three, which means at the least, a win over Sabre.

The tournament is definitely the best thing in wrestling right now.

If it weren't for injuries I could see Excalibur and co. giving it to Ospreay, but all things considered I agree that Scrull seems like the typical BOLA winner.

The fukkery if they give it to Cody though :dead:
Cody is an interesting choice. He could be an instaheel if they play it right. Though I think Evolve is about to do something similar with him so I ruled him out. The brackets are really interesting. Theyve made some interesting winner choices (Low-ki) in the past so essentially everyone from Fenix to Jeff Cobb are viable winners.

Remember when the Super 8 had this kind of buzz every year? :pachaha:

I wasn't into the indies when the Super 8 was a big deal (mostly because I got internet since 02' and a good enough connection since 04') but I do remember when the Ted Petty Invitational was one of the premier indy tournaments were you could check out new talent and see dope matches :pachaha:

ps: come on breh, Low-Ki winning wasn't an interesting winner, it just was the only choice given how he refuses to do jobs unless he's dropping a title :heh:
