PWG needs to leave that damn building. I went to that place a couple of times back in the day. EPIC, a short lived fed that was hyped to be like PWG (before PWG), was the first time back in 2002 or 2003. :mindblown:

I think they had 2006 BOLA there, too; the one with Necro/SD. Why the fukk do they love that building?! :mindblown:

Breh, you gotta get that mentality out of your head when it comes to PWG. They actually tried booking bigger venues and it didn't work at all.

My breh Don explained it the best in this thread...

PWG is never really going to change and it's why they'll last forever. They found a level where they turn a profit and can maintain it if the product quality stays where it is. It's the most you can ask for for a tiny company founded and run by a bunch of indie wrestlers who have no interest in selling to a buyer or trying to go national. They flirted with expansion a few years ago with a European tour and a much heavier schedule but they've absolutely found their lane, and Reseda is the only noteworthy wrestling venue in the country right now, and a hot ticket that draws in celebrities now.

I'm not talking about running at a place like the Grand Olympic Auditorium (RIP). I'm talking about a place at least 3 times bigger than the ALH. That place is fukkin small breh. The Burbank Armory was cool, but kinda too big. Maybe a place 3/4 that size.

I'd like if they came back to the LA area. One of the reasons I stopped going to PWG shows was cause of the drive. And finding parking, at the time, sucked.

Their current model works wonders for them (money and talent wise) and keeps problems with other promotions to a minimum. I just don't get why people want them to go away from it because they want a bigger venue. Small ass Reseda is what makes it cheap, profitable for PWG and special for fans and talent.

I just think they can get more people to go if they ran in a bigger place. That and have walk up ticket sales for every show like back in the day.

They do turn down people at the door when they sell tickets on site.

There's plenty of places out there. I'm sure they can find something reasonable.

The venue doesn't make it special; the fans do. It's a compact place so everything comes off louder.

Wrestling in 2016 has been crazy. That is a WWE contract guy doing replacement work (Jack Gallagher couldn't make it) on a PWG show so someone from WWE had to probably clear him to do it.

Regal has been there the first 2 nights & Kendrick was there for night 2. They also gave out BOLA trading cards styled like the early 90s WCW trading cards.

Actually I think you are spot on. Reseda makes every wrestler feel more over and a bigger star and have their own little universe of fukkery. Full Sail tried to go that route but jumped the shark when they made it about themselves.
Too me I feel like full sail tries too hard to make the wrestlers like them.like please love me Shinsuke :russ:

See, we completely disagree on this. Even the wrestlers love Reseda for what it is breh, look at what Ciampa just tweeted after making a surprise appearance.

They ran compact place too when they ran the "Kurt RussellMania" shows at the LAX Hilton and they weren't even close to the same atmosphere as Reseda. It's the same thing as Korakuen Hall (though in a more US indy way, of course), it's something about the place and the fans that go there that make it stand out to the talent. You change that and it's just not the same. You may get 100-200 more people in another venue but you risk changing the one thing that everyone loves about PWG and that has worked wonders for them money and talent wise.

Regal's been there the last 2 or 3 years I think. A bunch of WWE talent made a stop backstage last year IIRC.

:wow: at Ciampa.

PWG became big because it was bound to. I was at the first show and was there for every show (maybe missed 1 or 2 excluding the overseas tours) for 4 1/2 years and the fans have always been the way they are. It's just bigger now than back in the days.

SoCal Indy fans are a special breed.

Yes the building adds to the atmosphere, but it's the fans that make it what it is.

I love Reseda. They should always be there. It would be dope if they did ippv's.
I just hate that by the time dvds come out, the results are probably spoiled
