........but people are switching over from Independent to Republican to vote for him though :jbhmm:
the bringing new people to the GOP shtick. Reminds me of those dark days when Democrats were just sure that Obama was losing the thing and there was weeping and wailing and gnashing of teeth (as is their wont) and Obama all condescending (as is his wont) was like "I have faith in the American people":obama:, and we were like :damn: you're blowing this thing you douchenozzle! Now were gonna have to move to Canada and drink milk from bags :snoop:
And then the American people saw/heard Palin's ramblings and Mitten's rafalca and they chose the sane candidate*:manny:

btw I refuse to believe there are independents in this polarised Obama era, those are simply moderate republicans who are too embarrassed to claim the bigotry set in public.

*this scenario can be replicated in any of monsieur Obama's misadventures in office, upto and including the current supreme court nomination shenanigans.

Key on my last sentence. "its only a problem if you cannot explain your case for switching". That should tell you everything you need to know.

Hillary is a Clinton, playing to what is "popular" at the time is what they do. She has no stance that a good check or a solid poll can't alter, BUT she is a known known, the devil we know. As bad as that is, its still a situation the people can manipulate when the numbers are there. Its why powerful people WANT her in charge because that makes it easier for them to get their way.

Trump may possibly be the inverse of that, but how much are you willing to risk on a loose and unstable cannon like him?

The devil you know or the devil you don't, which sounds like a more tolerable situation?

Exactly. Its how I'm going to justify my selection for Hillary is Bernie doesn't get the nom. As bad as she is, she isn't the worst option available

Trump doesn't have a substantive platform or any worthwhile ideas and when he is up on the big stage as the GOP nominee, it will be glaringly obvious.

Hillary might be a front runner but she'll be able to answer those questions and they won't be littered with adjectives and vague references.

They will be empty promises that will likely never come to fruition because congress will treat her just like Obama, probably even worse, and she knows those promises are empty as well but people want answers and not "responses" if that makes sense.

That just means she'll win the debates, maybe handidly. People have clearly won all 3 debates and still lost before.

I agree with the side added of her getting the nod helps secure Obama's legacy. But as bad as she is, she CAN'T be worse than Trump can be.

I just can't see it :snoop: The scandals and etc. Trump will walk the dog on her. That's why he wants to face her in the general :wow:
What do you mean pull if off? You say it like it would be a surprise. Do you not realize she's the frontrunner and winning the polls both nationally and in all the swing states and Trump is a fukking clown who is polling horribly with every group other than white men? :beli:

I'm not saying we shouldn't try, I just think the OP's argument is bogus. We don't know what Hillary is going to do or is capable of and we know what Bernie WANTS to do, but we don't know if he actually will be able to. So to say the US would look so much different under one or the other is just idle speculation. ESPECIALLY in the context of Republican held local/state govts and Congress.

I dont fukk with Shillary AT ALL but this is some low level thinking on the part of Bernie supporters. HL is better than this
yes, we do know what Hillary will do. She has a track record. Stop being obtuse.

He doesn't need any. His appeal is making very general statements that people wanna believe. Much of the stuff he talks about he wouldn't be able to enact. He's pretty much the 2016 dumbed down version of 2008 Obama.

Remember Obama was talking about changing the way the game was played and all that. 8 years latter not much changed at all. Trump won't be able to do much of the stuff he's talking about either.
