Multiplayer dogfighting shooter EVE: Valkyrie will continue to receive additional PS4 Pro enhancements going forward, developer CCP Games has confirmed.

Earlier this week, the studio added PS4 Pro support to the PSVR title via the free Gatecrash update – but it’s not done yet.

In a press release issued to announce the arrival of the update, CCP confirmed that while PS4 Pro owners would see “increased resolution, dynamic shadows and improved particle effects” after installation, it is still planning to introduce “additional PS4 Pro enhancements” in future patches.

EVE: Valkyrie’s Gatecrash update also introduces new gameplay features, a pilot customisation system and the multiplayer Gateway map.

Had to return this and get my money back

I don't really see any "real" games coming to this anytime soon and I'll just wait for it to become cheaper

If you want my advice just wait on it
Get rid of your PSVR a month before Resident Evil 7 comes out brehs. :coffee:

I'll come back to it eventually but $500 (with all the stuff) is pretty expensive
Sounds like you needed to go to another country and sold it.

Anyway

We are delighted to announce that we are launching Perfect, our second title for PlayStation VR, tomorrow.

Perfect is an escapism experience that taps into the immersive power of PS VR to let you retreat into three immersive, relaxing, and breathtaking virtual environments. With accessible controls that newcomers and enthusiasts alike can use, along with stunning locations, Perfect is an ideal way to show off your PlayStation VR to family and friends during the holiday.

Catch a first glimpse at the experience in this launch trailer:

You’ll be able to download Perfect tomorrow for $9.99. To celebrate its launch, we’re giving PS VR’s community an extra-special 20% discount off the launch price. This offer will run until January 4, so you can unwind and escape in the busy run-up to the holidays.

Perfect offers three unique environments: Northern Lights, Tropical Beach, and Mountain Wilderness. Each has been carefully curated to mirror some of the most incredible and beautiful places in the world. Sit back, and enjoy the sights and sounds of each location as you customize the time of day, change your point of view, and discover special moments in your perfect environment.

We’ve designed Perfect so that it can be experienced by anyone. The experience is gentle and immersive, with simple controls that make Perfect an ideal way for family and friends to experience the wonders of virtual reality. Perfect also supports PlayStation Move for those of you who want to move around in your playing space and interact with the environment.

To elevate the experience, you can stream your own music on Spotify through PlayStation Music, or enjoy the in-game radio, which plays a range of relaxing tracks. If you’d rather soak up the sights and sounds, subtle and richly-detailed background ambience will take you away to that special, relaxing place.

Whether you need a quick five-minute experience to show the family on Christmas Day or want to immerse yourself for a whole evening, Perfect lets you leave behind the daily grind and slip away.

Interview of Hideo Kojima by IGN JAPAN at the WIRED Audi Award after-party. He spoke a little bit about VR.「WIRED Audi INNOVATION AWARD」受賞、小島監督独占ショートインタビュー

IGN: Do you like VR?

Kojima: I love VR! I would play it now but atm I have Death Stranding.

IGN: Out of the VR content so far, anything you particularly liked?

Kojima: Nothing yet that I've particularly liked, which is what makes me want to work on a VR game myself (laugh). I think it's a shame more people are not trying new ways to bring out ppl's emotions. While film is good for what film can do, games do what film can't, and VR again does it different. VR can make users feel in ways that was previously not possible, this is huge, yet no one is doing this! They see VR as an extension of traditional games, but I think it is not. (延長線上, lit: extension of a straight line.)

IGN: You mean they should be focusing on things that can only be expressed in VR, and not just rehash traditional games?

Kojima: If I said what they should do, then people will just copy that thing, so I won't say it here (laugh). But I do think it's a real shame, here's a hint. 120 years ago, the Lumière brothers produced motion picture. This was done by flipping a screen encapsulated in a frame repeatedly to create the illusion of moving pictures. This culture of a screen encapsulated in a frame continued a 100 something years. And with it evolved the challenge of how to move people to laugh, to cry, to feel fear, by manipulating what's in the frame.

Kojima: But now with VR, there's no frame. There's no frame, and it's interactive. This opens up possibilities. You can do things that was previously impossible because of this frame. I would love to explore this area while no one is at it yet.

Negged for bringing tears to my eyes with these wonderful words from the goat :mjcry:

VR is dope though. After hating it for so long, I'm a firm believer that it's the future now. Since VR came out I feel cheated when I go back to playing games on a TV.

bruh you tripping, vr games need a technological overhaul. it needs to be wireless, no sensors or cameras, better controllers, games that compliment vr outside of point and clickers

also most important, vr needs some sort of moving station. some type of treadmill dealie, where you can walk, run, turn around, etc, without crashing into your furniture.
