Technology is so great. Wake up at 11:30am. Notification on my iPhone reads "your package was delivered". :blessed: Get out of bed go to my apt office. Sign for my package. Balling out of control. I kno it's been said, but it is kind of a bummer that u need a HD tv to use the 4. Luckily I just upgraded from my old tv earlier in the year. Because if I didn't I may not have a system. Or worst than that maybe a Xbox :lupe:

PS4 1.50 Firmware Causing Instability, According to EA
EA suggests Sony is aware of the problem and will be the one that has to issue a fix.

The version 1.50 launch day firmware update for PlayStation 4 is the source of instability problems in games played on the system, according to Electronic Arts.

In an article on EA's support site, the firmware was identified as the cause of "stability issues while playing games on the system." This apparently isn't only the case for EA's own games, either, as the article claims, "This affects all games on the PS4, including EA titles, causing crashing/freezing and non-responsive connections between the player's console and their TV Screen."

The article goes on to suggest Sony is aware of the issue and that it will have to be the one to resolve it: "Unfortunately since it's an issue with Sony's firmware, it requires a new update to fix it. Sony is working to resolve the issue as quickly as they can. They will update their System Update page as new versions are made available, and we will keep this page updated as we find out more."

IGN has contacted Ubisoft and Activision to find out if they are aware of any firmware-related issues in their PS4 launch games.

Sony has already acknowledged problems with PSN due to the high volume of traffic on its servers and has said it is working to resolve them. One specific issue with the system's HDMI port has already been fixed and may have been a fluke.

The 1.50 firmware is not a required update unless you're trying to play games online, but it does enable some key functionality, including Remote Play support on PlayStation Vita and playback of Blu-rays and DVDs, among other things.

Stay tuned to IGN for the latest on the PlayStation 4's launch.
