cancelled my sigma 24 1.4

went with the sigma 28mm F1.4 DG HSM | Art instead :ehh:

most expensive lens i've ever purchased, 1,250 Canadian :picard:, was going to buy used but even on ebay a used version is like 950 cdn :dahell:. for that extra 300 i'd rather buy new.

1.4 gang :blessed: finally @richtree I made it

ef sigma 28mm F1.4
rf 50 1.8
rf 16 2.8 (my travel lens)
rf 85mm f2
ef 35mm f2 (might sell depending on how I like the 28mm 1.4)
ef 70-200mm f4 (just use to stream church but we upgrading soon)

sold my ef 85mm 1.8
about to sell my ef 40mm f2.8
and my ef 24-105mm f4 L

So these should make the price feel much less

no longer hoarding lenses I'm not using

Congrats breh, should be some good and fast glass right there.
The 1.4 aesthetic is damn nice, don’t forget to to try some ports! :salute:

@Kamikaze Revy you still have the Mavic 3? How you like it?

Seen this video for the Matrice, I have no need for it, on top of it being $15K. Pure want, that controller is :ohlawd:

Yes sir. I like it a lot. I haven’t taken it out for a while though. For me, all of these things are job tools. I love photography/videography so I’m always excited to see new gear but I’m so focused on growing the business that I really try to only purchase what I need for a specific job that will justify it. The Mavic 3 gets amazing video and is more than enough for my uses.

Sigma has the sharpest lenses I’ve used and for far cheaper than canon’s or Sony’s native lenses especially when shooting wide open.

Yep i did crazy research on this and everyone was like how its sharp wide open. I refuse to pay the 2,3,4 grand for a rf lens.

Yeah, I have sigma arts 50-100, 18-35, and 50. All crazy sharp.
I have a canon 15-35 rf and the drop in sharpness wide open by comparison is easily noticeable. It’s a nice lens though and has its uses, especially since it has stabilization.

As a newb getting into video what programs do y'all use for color grading etc?
If you're going to go all in on color grading then Davinci Resolve (that's what I've been using now for a year).
If you want the easiest "plug and play" program out there, you can't beat Final Cut Pro (I used it for 5+ years and built a 6 figure business that I now work full time).
Adobe Premiere is a great middle ground between the two above however, I've never been a fan of their UI.
