This.

I only keep RAWS for my repeat clients. If I have a one off project, I’ll keep the RAWS for a few months and then delete them. I also stipulate in my contract that I own the raw footage. I have a NAS now with 36 TB and I’m getting more drives to have a total of 90tb.
I keep an archive or final exports for every project I do. I just don’t keep raws forever. Just make sure you tell that to clients as well to avoid conversations where they assume they paid for it and you should have kept it forever.

One thing I had to do is stop watching so much youtube, these folks will have you thinking your gear isn't good enough, you need that new 1.4 . You're two year old camera isn't good enough you need the new camera. This is the lens that will take you to the next step bla bla

The avg person just looks at a picture for a few seconds and moves on. The average person posts a photo on instagram or fb and its compressed

So Manny Ortiz was actually doing comparisons from using the Sony A7R to modern day A7R5 and honestly depending on your conditions a lot of older equipment is perfectly fine.

I find faster glass, more AF points and stuff helps when you’re shooting in fast paced environments because you don’t have control (sports) but if you’ve got time and in the studio, you can still create beautiful work with gear that’s say 5 years old ..video is a whole different world though

Gotta remember those ppl doing the reviews are more often than not getting paid to do so by the brand or paid via YT views and what not ..

Lol I was following this wedding photographer on YouTube and dude was always talking about how you need that 1.2 or 1.4 for that bokeh on the wedding day.

Then a video I recently saw he said the only lens he uses now for weddings is the Tamron 35-150 f2-2.8
