Jealous of folks that live in areas where drones are actually allowed. The entire DC region is one big ass no fly zone. I bought a Mavic Air about a year ago and it wouldn’t even take off. The only place you can fly it around here are a few parks in PG County, but that’s about it.

If you can fly one in your area, take advantage.

on the bottom right of the pictures where you download the pictures (the arrow pointing down with a flat horizontal line under it) just click on that, then right click on a size and choose "copy link address". Then when you select the little picture thing on the coli post that link there. I usually choose that medium size.

:ohhh:
It works:blessed:

I copped a phantom 3 on the low I can't even fly it in my city:francis:

I'm seeing there is heavy restrictions in certain parts of the country. Cleveland is not bad, obviously mindful and careful around major airports. That and national parks are the only majors we have up here.

Cleveland finally got it's 1 of 3 Black Lives Matter street artwork. Headed down early Sunday while they still have the street blocked off and put the drone in the air for stills and video.

Nice I've spent some time in cleveland. Had a polish boy, been at a bar where shots were going off, went to a shaker vs. cleveland heights? Football game

Anywho nice shots I'm planning on flying the drone over the same thing in Charlotte

No Whammies!!
Newbie question:
I usually just take photos with my phone, but I'm thinking of stepping up to a "real" camera with a zoom lens. Since I don't really know what I'm doing, and since I'm afraid of breaking it, I've been searching for cameras that are at least water resistant. That led me to the Panasonix Lumix FZ300:

Here's the newbie question:
Other than the zoom lens, would a camera like this REALLY give me superior photos over my phone (Pixel 4 XL) ? Or is the phone close enough that the untrained eye wouldn't be able to tell much difference, unless you're trying to zoom in on something way off in the distance? Looks like the next steps up for weather resistant similar cameras are double and triple the price.

I owned an FZ300 and sold it about a year ago and have had a little seller’s remorse, more for the video capabilities than the stills quality. Don’t get me wrong, it can take good photos and the lens is quality, especially since it’s a constant 2.8 aperture throughout the entire zoom range. It allowed me to get photos at football/basketball games that I could only dream of with my phone. However, it’s the video that can really amaze for a camera you can get for $300 used.

All in all, it’s a good cam to learn on and a solid tool just to keep in your tool bag. Fantastic all-in-one travel cam when you don’t want to take your expensive kit. The next time I see a used one on B&H, I’m getting it again.
